Isn't his contract almost up at Swansea? I think he would be a very good buy for us and probably not cost us a ton of money.

Can hold the ball up, good in the air and a decent finisher. I am surprised there hasn't been more rumours surrounding him looks quality from when I have seen him.

This is latest I saw, if 5m can get him, we should be all over that imo cheaper than Hooper and PL proven

SUNDERLAND will step up their efforts to land Swansea’s Danny Graham after allowing Fraizer Campbell to leave Wearside.

Striker Campbell has completed his move to Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £650,000, and signed a three-and-a-half year contract with the Championship leaders.

With Ji Dong-Won having already joined German side Augsburg on loan, Campbell’s departure has stretched Martin O’Neill’s attacking resources to the limit, with raw teenager Connor Wickham now the only back-up to 10-goal leading marksman Steven Fletcher.

O’Neill will now try to push through a £5m deal for Graham as a matter of urgency, although Swansea do not want to let the Gateshead-born frontman go until they have brought in a replacement.

They are understood to be preparing an improved offer for Stoke City’s ex-Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones.

There could also be a further complication with Sunderland’s next game pitting them against Swansea at the Stadium of Light a week today.

The Welsh side will be wary of allowing Graham to leave knowing he could potentially make his debut against them almost immediately.

The 27-year-old has scored three goals in 17 games this season, but has only started 10 times.

Norwich City are also trying to land Graham and are understood to have made a bid last week, but the big hitman is believed to favour a move back to his native North East.

Sunderland have also been linked with Lazio’s out-of-favour Argentinian striker Mauro Zarate, but Graham is believed to be O’Neill’s No 1 target.

I guess he's only available because Swansea are looking to bring in Kenwyne Jones. He had a good season last season but has struggled to maintain form and Swansea now primarily use Michu as the lone striker. I think he looks slow with average technique although he's psycially built to play as a lone striker. I know there aren't many great strikers available but I'd prefer to actually wait until the right one becomes available for a reasonable amount instead of spending 3-4 M on some temporary solution. I'd rather we just bring Kane back from Norwich, if we're deserate to get a 3rd choice striker and I don't really rate Kane.

22 appearances this season with only 13 starts and he has 7 goals that's not a bad return. I think it has more to do with Michu being on fire than anything Graham has done

Only 3 goals from 10 starts in the league however. I've watched a lot of Swansea this season and I have to say I've not been impressed, would much rather prefer Jones if i had to make the choice between the two.
