MOTD, it was Davies but not really at fault.

This guy is class. He was our best player yesterday imo (closely followed by Royal).
Loved the early 'nudge' on Ronaldo, defended well and picked out a few good passes to get our attack underway, which of course generally fizzled out.
Not perfect, but very, very encouraging.

Hopefully whatever loan-to-buy agreement Paratici signed with Atalanta is more watertight than that which Southampton signed with Atletico for Alderweireld, otherwise I can see PSG gazumpuing us so Romero can join up with his hero Messi.

Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT.com, Romero says: “I feel really good. I’m really happy to take this next step in my career, it’s something I’m really looking forward to.

“When you’re offered the chance to play in the Premier League, it’s not something you need to think twice about.”

…”Messi is not just a great player, he is an absolute GHod in football,” Romero adds. “And I think it’s not just me saying that. Anyone who knows football, who knows Messi, will say the same thing.

“To have the opportunity to play with him is amazing, but also to share a dressing room with him is just incredible.”

I expect, if he is coming in, Conte will love Romero.

He's already got plenty of love from me. This guy is qua-li-ty. This looks like it might be one of the best signings since... well, Toby.

This guy needs a King next to him, not a Dier.

Not even King could hold the forte playing next to Dier ... De ligt being touted .... tasty!

De Ligt has, of course, also played alongside Davinson

I watched Ajax vs Man Utd in Stockholm in the UEFA Cup final ... and both looked immense together.
