As a mortality rate estimate it’s probably too high. They reckon the true number of cases is probably between 50,000 - 100,000 due to most people having very mild symptoms, according to Sky News a few minutes ago.
Whatever the exact figures, the media clamour is undoubtedly over the top. For the vast majority of people, contracting this virus will mean a sore throat and a headache.
