Southampton have officially opened their new 40 mill training centre, can't provide a link though.........the swimming pool certainly looks better than ours.overall looks quite swish tbh

Does look impressive.

You think so?

I'd say quite the opposite. It's also looks to be quite a bit smaller.

Overall, I really like their new main building from the outside. But inside, it looks a bit cheap, IMO. At least, it looks a bit cheap by comparison to ours. Nothing like the same level of finish.

our training centre will look old hat in 5-10 years time :) come on Levy, time to build some bedrooms!!

You'll be glad to know that Levy is on it :eek:k:

Development to provide a 45-room player lodge with ancillary facilities in conjunction with the adjacent Tottenham Hotspur FC Training Centre involving: the conversion of and single storey extension to the main farmhouse; the retention and conversion of various outbuildings including the replacement of the Nissen Hut and adjacent shed with a single storey building; the replacement of the existing two-storey black lapped timber barn with a two-storey timber lapped building; the construction of a part subterranean two-storey, semi-circular building with sedum and green roof together with photovoltaic array; additional internal footpath to provide access to the Training Centre; and landscaping; at Myddelton Farm, Bulls Cross.

A spokesman for the club said: “The Club has submitted a planning application to the London Borough of Enfield for an overnight accommodation Lodge for players and staff. The application is for Myddelton Farm, which the club has owned since 2007 and which sits adjacent to the Training Centre.

All of these new training centres being built do come under UEFA directorate,so its not a club thing but UEFA telling clubs if they want a top rating then certain things have to be built, so Levy and the board are forced really to spend their money.

In the Southampton you tube video Paul Mitchell gives a run down on what he does(6 minutes in),very interesting indeed, looks like the best signing the club has made in the last few years.

He is coming i presume???

I think ours is pretty average, was only opened about 10 years ago but things move on so quickly. Club has recently secured planning permission to knock down the current complex and build a new one.

What with Spurs Lodge in Chigwell replaced by our state of the art Enfield Training Centre back in 2012, thought it might be an idea to have a thread looking at how it compares to other clubs' training facilities...

hope it does deliver some cups........

Anyone else think we might be seeing some dividends paid from our training centre investment?

A lot of your youth players have come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years. I'm in no way shape or form saying that this is all down to our training centre, but it probably at least helped a bit I would have thought?

We've also signed some very highly rated youngsters like Yahaya, Azzaoui (and Edwards?). I'm guessing a tour at the training centre makes players a bit more willing to sign for us.
