    Fingers crossed.

Wonder if that’s already been agreed.

Don’t think it has anything to do with that, plus they have just spent 60 million on his replacement...

BBC says £58m. We spent £40m on Sanchez, £58m on a forward isnt, IMHO, out of our wheelhouse.

But this is more like it.

He isn’t a patch on Hazard
He is a good player hyped up beyond anything he has achieved again because of his age
Doesn’t get in the Dortmund side currently because of an 18 year old English lad

Despite what people will say they do need a 1 in 1 out policy due to the lack of home grown players too, especially with Cahill, Fabregas and Christiansen all off soon too

Like when we spent a hefty £4.5m on Chris Armstrong to replace Klinsmann

No, but Hazard on his day is one of the best players in the world.

    He’s pretty impossible to replace.

The 1 in 1 put is pretty much were we are -

    This is spot on.
Typical Chelsea buy*. He's replacing Moses? An easy act to follow.

*he will be off to Liverpool 2020

Except their drop in quality is huge
They would be losing their one standout player who is by some way their best for an unproven kid without a very remarkable record

Rafa Hogenstein said he can play anywhere across the front line but doesn't excel in any of those positions and isn't as direct as Hazard so a little different. Decent player but sounds more like a replacement for Willian (playing style) but in all likelihood means Hazard will be off.

Deffo a Willian replacement but really puts pressure on their homegrown numbers

I imagine he'll go to Italy c.2021-23, then maybe come back to the EPL or La Liga from there

Is he really not getting a game at Dortmund this season? Can’t say I’ve seen them this year.

Was really hoping this was one for us, but maybe I bought in to the hype then?

So although being annoyed that someone we were interested in has ended up at Chelsea, we (I'm) should be more annoyed that we didn't tie up Sancho when it looked like it was possible.

Well I still don’t get why we didn’t force their hand there
Take £10m less for walker and make it happen
    He would now cost £70m
    Scarily bad decision for me

Always had the impression City were absolute in not allowing him to come to us.

They wanted our player and if that was the case we did balls it up.

Then we should have been absolute in not letting them have Walker then.

£50m was good money for him.

Im disappointed we couldnt get Sancho, but ultimately we took a lot of cash but missed out on a potentially good youth player.

    Hindsight is always 20/20.

I know he was always highly rated, but so is (was?) Edwards, and has he stepped up?

At the time Sancho was no guarantee of success, and we had Edwards, so I can completely understand he was a nice to have and not an deal breaker.
