He was asking him if he thought Kane was going to let him have the goal and not claim it for himself

Oh fudge off! He had NO CHANCE of getting the ball there! What he did was trying to dummy the GK, hoping the ball was on target! And it would have worked.
If you honestly belive he could have bought down the ball in that situation, I challenge you to replicate it. I'll give you 1 million tries, and you'll not manage it once. Neither would Messi.

Are you daring to suggest that I’m not one of the greatest footballers in history? I could bring that ball down, pirouette, then kneel down and head the ball in every time.

Good game tonight, still not at his best but he'd getting there.
Hopefully nights like tonight will show him how special this club is going to be and convince him to sign on the dotted line.

A proper player would back heel it in.

Maybe Eriksen has been reading our posts here because he actually put in a tackle last night.

Overall, I thought he was solid last night. A bit wayward with his passing in the first half but he did a great job overall.

He's been very committed the last few games. I wonder has anything changed behind the scenes.

Watched him closely the past 2 matches before and during the games and he seems a lot happier. Might be a sign that he's signed on long term or might not but certainly given me hope that he will be with us for the next 4 years or so.

He and his partner just got a baby. It might be as simple as them not getting enough sleep, and that things are going better now. They are humans you know. I was in a bit of a bubble the first few months after the little one was born. Certainly wasn't 400% concentrated at work.

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has emerged as the new top transfer target for Real Madrid, with club president Florentino Perez preferring the 27-year-old to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. (El Confidential, via Mirror)

He seems to be doing his damned best to scupper it if he continues with his recent sub-standard performances....

Was as good as anyone except Moura and Sissoko today.

Most chances created and most distance covered.

He is so good, today was a bad day by his high standards. Some really atrocious touches for such a talented player!

If Eriksen sat deep all game making safe sideways 5 yard passing they'd be complaining he's not being creative.
And when he's trying things in low percentage areas that result in us losing the ball, they complain.
Why because they all think he's leaving.
It's like the girl they were staring at all night in club rejecting them and then deciding she was ugly anyway.
This is people dealing with rejection.

Eriksen has had the exact same laid back body language since he's joined us.
But it means "he's not trying".
Because that's the obvious thing a player linked with Real that wants out would do right?

I think he has been finding form since he scored against Palace. Today he continued that ascension towards his best form. I think his move options have narrowed and he will want to stay with us now (that Madrid talk is silly). I think we still want to continue with him too, so all should end well.

But sorry, to say his criticism has been “dealing with rejection” is way off base IMO.
