Back to Ajax to chill out, enjoy his football, and basically be The King of Dutch Football for a year or two? Could be a lot worse.

I doubt that he'll play again.

Eriksen should just quit. He has young kids and insurance will cover a lot of it for himself and his club.
He should write a book, go on tours to promote defibrillators or something - I'm sure the medical companies would still spend a fortune on him and the drama around his Euro experience.

Logical answer, but there is a lot of emotion and self identity tied up in being a footballer.

Eriksen should have a conversation with Mason (the forced to quit thing)

Would be an incredible turnaround if he manages to play again this coming season. As comebacks go, he's literally back from the dead.

One of my favourite Sid Waddel quotes was ‘that’s the best comeback since Lazarus!”

    + Dembele.

But i don't think finding players of Eriksen's ability is easy to achieve either. He was primarily a no10 when we bought him and shifted him to the left. It was a great marriage for Eriksen and Spurs, he suited Poch's style.

Would he have fared so well under Jose or Nuno? Not so sure.
