Its strong criticism but this is sport at the highest level and I expect better from a major signing from the spanish league.

If he was a winger from the youth team like Bennett then fair enough to just smash it and hope but I expected more in that situation from Gil. A young David Silva would have bent it in. This is the level I want to see.

Think it qualifies as abuse rather than criticism when you call him an idiot.

I wouldn't call him a major signing, he is a Seville youngster who has had one season on loan to a lower half side where he became a regular - he has a long way to go. It's not like we've snapped up a prodigy or anything

Fine margins there, I won't call him an idiot but his technique and nerves needs much improvement.

Kane also blasts a lot at the keeper these days. That knuckle ball type shots... Not sure if you've tried it with the modern lightweight balls these days.... Takes a just a bit of off angle follow through to make it spin wildly off course.

He's played a total of 84 PL minutes so far. Entirely shorter sub appearances. He's 20 years old.

"Strong criticism". Entirely unfounded reaction to a young player coming on and doing alright.

How much did you watch David Silva when he was 20?

Disagree. Been very impressed both by his technique and nerves. Been playing mostly in dysfunctional teams in the Conference, several times looking like one of our best players.

Even against Southampton he came on and made himself useful. Didn't look fazed by the situation at all. If he had a poor touch I can't remember it.

He has some way to go, as is natural
For me there's a question about where he will fit in with the Conte system. But he looks a fine talent adjusting fairly well.
 
Idiot was over the top, just naive to not realise wacking it would most likely fail to do the job with that chance.

It was a frustrating day all round and makes victory at watford essential.
 
Just nice to see Bryan back involved.

The kid has talent, personally I don't think he looks nervous at all, and happy to take the man on both ways, which keeps the defender guessing

Just looked to me like his style of play would have suited us against a team not playing so deep
 
Good cameo again imo. Good to see him showing that even in a big game like this he has it in him to make a difference from the bench.

Think he's still some way off getting league starts, but good to see promising signs and some trust from Conte.

He's got the young Michael Owen confidence thing...ie no fear. Zero nervousness.
