Best film of the 80s - Good Morning Vietnam v Withnail and I

Which film is better?

I'm still smarting about Spinal Tap going out. Withnail falling at the first too would be too much.

Ages ago, a mate lent me a copy of Withnail and I -- I never got around to watching it. I might have to give it a go (I haven't still got his dvd, but I'll download it).

So if one of the 14 people who have misvoted is temporarily banned by someone with admin rights, their vote is presumably voided? And if the tie is at 13 all, then it’s down to the organiser’s discretion which film goes through?

Milo will just use the Lawro account to stuff the ballot.

Just finished watching Withnail, fudging excellent movie. I can see why people get put off at the start, but once it gets going it's a riot.
Also reminded me that people watch it trying to match every drink in the movie; anyone tried it?

The rules for the Withnail and I drinking game are very simple… just match Withnail drink-for-drink...

In order to drink along with Withnail and Marwood, you will require:
• Gin
• Cider
• Ale
• Sherry
• Whisky
• Red Wine

Optional
• 1 x bottle lighter fluid (You’re allowed to substitute this for vinegar… this is what they did to Richard E Grant to film the vomiting scene...)
• 1 x Camberwell Carrot

Withnail drinks in the order of 9 1/2 glasses of red wine, 1 pint of cider, 1 shot of lighter fluid, 2 1/2 shots of gin, 6 glasses of sherry, 13 whiskeys and 1/2 a pint of ale through the film. Here they are in order:
