Glad he's not coming back. Just face it, no matter how much we pine for him he really doesn't want to come back and he's never even mentioned us once tbh. I look forward to the day he retires so we can put threads like these to bed :lol:
 
Same as before for me.

1. The manager must want and accept him. Never thought AVB would have, so getting him then didn't make sense. Under Sherwood (in January) it made a lot more sense. I don't know with Poch or FdB. If we luckbox LvG I think it would be a falling out waiting to happen.

2. He must accept that he would be joining as a squad player. He left United and the very likely prospect of more trophies for Fulham to get regular mid table first team football. If his focus has changed and he would be willing to be a squad player that would be great, if he still expects to start week in week out I don't think we're the right place for him.

If both those are true he could be a fantastic signing still. And if we do end up replacing Ade or Soldado with someone younger (and perhaps new to the league) his experience could be massive for us.
