Ben Davies

Our fitness team.... Physios.... Nutrionists...id like to see some improvements or someone from the club talking about it. World class facilities but still it feels we have not improved in getting players fit. How does Liverpool and Man U do it with frenetic pace, players on fire after injury?
He has really been unlucky with injurys over the last couple of seasons, what has made his absence worse is that we have had to play Reggy and its obvious he is struggling after his injurys as well.

What training should the players being doing to avoid an appendix issue?

Idiotic comment; can you avoid appendicitis via stretching?

We need to restart using whatever we were using under Poch. Back when we ran the furthest distances in the PL and outworked our opposition. Or do you think only the opposition use PEDs....

We were doing something certainly, everyone does, we were not abusing it to the levels that Liverpool and Leicester have though.

Don’t bother. Some on here suffer from Trump levels of delusion when it comes to how good we are and how good/bad our PL rivals are. If someone came along and said Leicester didn’t really win the FA cup earlier this year or that Liverpool didn’t really win the premier league in 2020, it was just teams disguised as them some of them would probably believe it.

The only reason to pick Davies over Regulion is that he’s usually a bit more solid defensively but he contributed to at least 2 of ManUre’s goals today, by failing to to get close enough to Ronaldo for their opener and playing Rashford onside for their 3rd.

To add insult to injury, he also prevented Romero from scoring a simple headed equaliser before half-time

It was an absolutely disgraceful and idiotic decision. I've nothing against Davies but throwing him yesterday having barely played against United, a team who aren't great but have players who (as Neville says) can destroy you in moments was asking to be bummed.

And so it came to pass. His defending on the first one was amateurish even allowing for a fantastic finish. For Nuno to claim it made sense because Davies is more consistent (than Reguilon presumably) beggars belief. But he's showing a petty streak. Hauling Reggie off after the mistake last week, hooking Skipp after the mistake this week and dropping Reggie... he has the look of a drowning man flailing around the place desperate to cling on to anything.

It was an awful call
Bringing in a very static player like him when we need movement

He's not though. Reggie is the better defender, he's better on the ball, he's better without the ball. He's faster, he has better recovery pace, he's steongee. He's just all around better in pretty much every regard, some areas the gap is large and some areas the gap is smaller but there no criteria in which Davies is the better player than Reggie.

Awful decision.

If one player sums up our current predicament it’s Ben.

Here too long. Integral part of a squad which has failed in big games over and over and over again. A nice bloke - off the pitch but also, crucially, on it. A 6/10 performer at best.
