If that was the case he would have signed a new deal by now.

Unless Barca have said they will have him on a free next season.

He could be #2 or #3 in Barca's list and has been advised to sit tight and see what happens? The Rabiot deal falling apart might have had an effect which bought him back into play in their thinking?

If you believe that then he hasnt indicated a preference for Barca either, its all just gossip.

We do know he currently hasnt/isnt signing a new deal and it seems Madrid are very interested...

Or trying to sell them at maximum value to balance the books

It's hard to get any indication out of Eriksen.

Looks like the kinda guy who would clean up on the WPT when he retires...he's so hard to read.

    Bale
    Sane
    Martial
    Zaha
    Mane
    Fraser
    Richarlison

    Pick one.
Point being that Bale doesn't exactly fall to the bottom of that list. He's still a world-beater.

That Fraser is being linked to top clubs really baffles me to be honest.

Just look at that list - out of his league by miles.

    Yep

    Sane (youth and potential)
Bale (think he’s still got it with a bit of tlc)
    Mane
    Martial
    Zaha
    Richarlson
    Fraser

    Would be my order.

For me the concerns over Sane have nothing to do with ability - technically the guy has it all, imo. It seems more likely that it's either an FFP thing for City or the man's attitude is off. Taking the WC situation into consideration I'd guess it's the latter.

I'd rather manage Bale's injuries than Sane's attitude.

Bale, Sane or Martial, any one would make a difference.

Sane or Martial obviously need some Poch magic but the ingredients are there

I wouldn't put a knock against Sane for not fitting in with Pep, he's not the first player Guardiola has taken issue with, often irrationally, don't forget that for all of the success he completely fudged up his relationship with the best player he ever had.

Yeah, in terms of raw ability he is the best I have seen in a while, since Hazard maybe. Pep's reluctance to play him all the time must stem from something though. I guess a clash of egos. Pep is a fantastic coach (he is, much as I hate to admit it) but a giant bellend. And Sane has a giant tattoo of himself on his own back. One is a misunderstood clam and the other is also just a misunderstood clam. Maybe we'll just call it a draw.
    What was the question?

You have to remember that it wasn't Just Pep that has issues with Sane, he was also left out of the World cup squad for some reason.

I'd have thought that Sane will go to Bayern - Ribery and Robben have retired, they're doing a bit of a rebuild, he's German,...feels very obvious.

Martial would be an excellent signing for us. Not sure I see it happening though

Martial isn't really up to standard imo

Wasn’t that put down to an embarrassment of perceived riches at the time, they preferred Brandt.

I don’t recall his attitude, or his response to being left out, being cited as a problem.

I think it was. I'm sure I remember a statement about it being for the good of the team as a whole. Didn't sound like a tactical comment

Edit: scratch that, it was an earlier game or tournament

Taking into account age and attitude, I'd have Mane out of that lot.
