Really good pod with lots of insights on Conte from Italian journalist (and Inter fan) Nima Tavallaey:

I'll give it a proper listen after the match but just from the first five minutes " he sees the game in 5D" love it.

    Ottawa, actually.
Well, uh...he certainly won't have a more perfect introduction to Tottenham Hotspur than that game. :p

I have a feeling he'll need a lot more transplants this season if that keeps up!

It's really hard to discern the best side.

Tanganga Romero Dier - appeals as the foundation. Tanganga has fight and pace, he maybe not as good on the ball as we'd like playing in a 3 but he's decent and the commitment and hunger is there. We are crying out for someone like Toby. Ironic he was here tonight.

    Royal Hojbjerg Ndombele Regulion

    Moura Kane Son

    An alternative is:

    Royal Romero Dier

    Moura Hojbjerg Skipp Regulion

    Ndombele Kane Son

Davies can do a job, and would improve with regular games. But we know he's not really top-notch. He can improve, but he's never going to be quick, or technically brilliant. So I'd leave him out. Could Royal play CB? Interested in whether he could with Moura in midfield. Whichever side Conte goes for they need at least 5 games to gel.

The whole team. They all look off the pace. Just wish he'd brought the defensive coach with him.

A good interview overall. No idea what word he is reaching for here though, anyone know?

3 up front always sucks. It's just quite a negative/anti-possession system. Your second team looks ok, if you drop Ndombele back into CM

I think some heavy transfers are needed on the middle to get the team to work. Glad that Conte and Paratici are here to get it done. Hitchen may not like the Winter transfer window but Conte's revolution will require it, before everything settles down and inertia of the old ways set in.

Hitchin should be marginalised to lobby host if Levy loves him that much.

These formations are more fluid and changeable anyway. If in or out of possession etc.

The easy areas for transfers are 2 CBs and another CF, and probably a creative attacked unless he can shape Gil into that

The big question is what he does with midfield. He has two DMs and then the likes of GLC and Ndombele plus WInks and Dele. Someone said yesterday that he wanted Winks at Inter. He's a good coach so I wouldnt rule out him vastly improving one/some of our midfielders but there will be a gap even when he's done tat

I think that’s the first time I’ve heard a managers name sung on his debut. Was actually pleasantly surprised
