    If we get N'Dombele and Lo Celso, then yes, absolutely.

    If we dont I suspect we will be looking at Gomes as a missed opportunity.


    He is pretty good, and has been a long time target - I can only assume we think we are onto better things, otherwise Id have to agree.

    From various reports during his shocking time of it during Barcelona he was pretty low and not feeling himself. A club had taken a chance on him and showed him love, somewhere where he felt like a proper player again so fair play to Gomes and Everton. There are similarities in the situation with Southampton / Alders, but I don't think Southampton can be considered as much of a potential project than Everton at this stage.

    Whether we had tried to sign him or not, I think it was likely that he'd want to remain with the club where he'd got his mojo back and fairplay to him. Like Nayim says though, one hopes we're aiming higher.
