Kane wasn't too bad at Norwich, he just got injured so the loan was cut short. He actually showed intelligence at Norwich and it's a shame that was cut short.

But you said he can't have more wasted loans? Are you talking about his Peterborough loan? Or are you calling his Swindon loan both a success and a waste?

I'm not saying either were wasteful. Swindon was good for his development, he got first team football, albeit for a **** team. But any loan from now on that is below the Championship for him is wasted. He can't keep carrying teams at that level, he needs to be training with a better standard of players at better facilities.

Dare I say, he strikes me as modric-esque in his movement with the ball. Can evidently take one hell of a free kick too. Here's hoping he can cut it at this level. Been far too long since we've had 'one of our own' come through and really establish themselves in the first team.

I'd say he is more Eriksen esque IMO

He is very attack minded and doesn't cover much ground defensively but takes a hell of a free kick, creates a lot and is a tidy finisher
 
Brentford youngster Alex Pritchard is confident of playing his way into the England Under-21 squad for the 2015 European Championship.

Some of England’s first-team players could be drafted into the age-group squad for next year’s tournament but Pritchard, who is on loan from Tottenham, is not deterred by the increased competition.

“It [the involvement of first-team players] shouldn’t concern anyone,” said the midfielder. “They’re just names, they’re still footballers.

“If you work hard then you don’t know what’s going to happen.

“You’ve just got to keep playing and hopefully get in the squad.”

Pritchard, who played in the Bees’ scoreless draw against Sheffield Wednesday at Griffin Park last night, signed a contract extension with Tottenham in September.

He has since started 12 out of 13 Championship games for Brentford and still keeps in regular contact with the staff at White Hart Lane.

“I get updates from certain people from Tottenham who call me and come to watch games,” said Pritchard.

“You’re playing every week in the Championship and you’re always going to benefit from that.”

Style reminds me of Bale... Late runs into the box to avoid detection, runs at players, traces a zig zag route to goal hoping to find an opportunity to shoot. Build wise no where near bale-sque, but has good balance.

To me he looks ready for some first ream action.
 
When I saw him a few years back he reminded me of a young Scholes. if he has even half the talent he will be one hell of a player. He's the one I'm most excited about out of all the youngsters coming through.
 
He can score all types of goals, that is what has impressed me from his videos, he isn't just a free kick specialist. In a team where we need to have midfielders who know how to get in goalscoring positions and put the ball in the back of the net, he could very well replace Townsend or Lennon in the squad.
 
Super talented player at youth level - seems to be doing well at champ level. Not sure if he has the desire to make it at PL level (has the talent) but I will say that he should replace Lennon next year in out squad. Such a clever player and could be a more effective impact player for us next year
 
Anyone seen any of his games for Brentford?

According to whoscored he's played all his games as a central midfielder, but I'm not sure how accurate that is from the Championship. Interesting if true as I think he's been playing primarily in more advanced or wide roles previously.
 
Brentford boss Mark Warburton has no fear of Alex Pritchard being recalled by Spurs in January and being packed off to a more glamorous loan destination.

The England U21 midfielder signed a year-long loan deal with the Bees back in the summer, but Tottenham have a recall cause in the transfer window.

With Premier League sides Burnley and West Brom rumoured to be interested, the north London side could invoke it and send Pritchard elsewhere, but Warburton is confident that won't happen.

He said: “Players like to be playing. You can move to a higher level club and sit on their bench more than you make it onto the pitch, but that won't help a player's development. We have seen with the likes of Jake Bidwell, Adam Forshaw and now Jon Toral how playing helps your development so much more than sitting on a bench.

“Alex has been outstanding and his attitude has been spot on. He is desperate to play here and will be here until Spurs say otherwise. We are in regular touch with Spurs with DVDs and medical data from every game Alex plays in. I'm sure he would think long and hard before leaving.”

Pritchard played one half of England U21s' midweek defeat to France, but that won't stop Warburton considering him for a place in his starting line up against Fulham on Friday night.

He added: “We've had good contact from the England U21s. Alex played 45 minutes, trained this morning, and is fit and ready to play.”

Sounds good for the lad.

I would be very skeptical of recalling him just to get him a new loan unless the perfect PL club was found. And honestly I'm not sure many of those opportunities will open up.

At this point I almost think it's more likely that he gets recalled to be a part of our squad if we ship out some players in January than that he's recalled to be sent out on a new loan. Could very easily be wrong though.

We've seen Ryan Mason step up from League One to really make an impact for us in the Premier League this season. If Pritchard is performing well for a well playing Championship team the step up might not be that big.
