Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

It's a great idea to give asset rich people a cash sum even if they lose on their investment (a great leveller for wealth inequality rolls eyes). I've already said they can offset losses. As for the second paragraph, there are many factors to house price rises that have greater influence than...

Especially with Porro and Udogie steaming along in those channels as well...like fudging bumper cars

They have just tapered down the CGT allowance over the last 2/3 years from 12k-6k-3k. So you can't gain much before you start paying tax @Baleforce . What do you actually mean when you say 'subsidised when the reverse happens' ...if you're saying when you make a loss on an asset, then that loss...

    Timo Werner

If we had him and Deki doing something similar on the other side Ange would have achieved exactly the opposite to what he had planned tactically:)

    Aston Villa

Next year will be useful as a yardstick between CL and a non CL year. Tbh the club are only 1 month out from end of season and 2 months out from EOY so will know how we're bobbing along.

    Rule changes in football

What's Arteta on about...adding 2 European games in January is the catalyst for this change. This hasn't 'helped' reduce the burden of games, the European dates have replaced them.

    Rule changes in football

I thought they were....4 EFL reps 4 PL reps? Edit: Sorry that was just the agreement of the new season match calendar...although they should have dugs their heels in on that if they felt they'd been bypassed?

    Cann we?

It looks like will can get a max of 18.250..with Villa winning all their games and the tournament. If that happens, German teams need 2 wins or 1win and 2 draws to remain above us. So slim.

You're not on your main residence. Anything else is considered an asset. Raises in value. Capital gains to pay. It's not a bad one considering the likely profile of holders of said assets.

    Cann we?

Do you still get the full 2pts if you win the 2nd leg on penalties?

    It's all pre-election run up.

    Ange’s system / formation

Reality is he's played himself out of the side by cutting inside all of the time.

    Cann we?

Yes there's two extra games in the league stage... scheduled in January (hence the fa cup rejiggle). I think it's 15 games to win it or 17 if you have to play the extra round. Its possibly be a bit easier to win the EL next season with no CL drop ins after the group stage

That's not to mention the fan that wants to attend a tournament...3 countries from Mexico to Canada. Then 2030 upping it to 3 continents.

    Cann we?

It's pretty much guaranteeing 10 euro games as one would expect to finish in the top 24 in the league phase.
  18. ricky2tricky4city

    Cann we?

All 3 euro comps are moving to the Swiss league format. The main difference is the group stage is replaced by a complete league of all teams, each playing 8 games (4 home/4 away) and (as posted above) the top 8 go straight to the rnd16 and 9-24 play an extra round to fill up the remaining 8...

I'd forgotten that...but after refreshing my memory it was that final where they were pathetic against Chelsea. Losing 4-1

    Champions League 23/24

It's 2pts for winning any game and 1pt for qualifying for the next round. So even if West Ham and Liverpool are to go out it'll be handy if they can still win their respective games. I'm not sure what happens to games that go to penalties?. A disadvantage we have is we have to divide any...
