He's surprisingly tricky with the ball given how built he is. Doesn't just ram the ball through like a dump truck either, really excellent player.

Puts his body on the line. Brave performance as usual.

Came to this thread for this comment. I love to see the team spirit, which has felt in short order the past few years.

On paper, sure. But when it actually comes down to winning games and progressing, it's a different story. Just look at our results from the last time we were in the CL. Teams we should be beating handily but end up struggling against. It's the stage, not the team.

Plays with his brain and his heart, but maintains his calm. Seems pretty consistent, too. Almost every keeper will have at least one or two bad games a season, but I don't think Vicario has had one really bad match yet. Maybe if we're in Europe next season, he'll be tested on a different level...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Yup, that was the quote haha, shows the author probably does not follow us too closely. The way Ange speaks though, always feels like he won't be around for too long but usually says it's because it's out of his hands. Don't think that's wrong, but I'm just enjoying the time he's here.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/39652644/tottenham-hotspur-ange-postecoglou-interview-angeball-impacting-premier-league There was one bit in the article where I completely disagreed with the author, but that had nothing to do with Ange (it was about some players). Some interesting quotes...

    Timo Werner

If he got that 1v1 chance AFTER he scored his first goal, he might've had the confidence to at least do better in that situation, I'm thinking. From what Timo's saying in the post-match interviews, it seems he's trying to be very aligned with what the rest of the team wants/expects from him...

    Brennan Johnson

I mean, Haaland missed a sitter yesterday so I get that it happens, and Haaland's chance seemed quite a bit easier than Sonny's flick to Johnson. In terms of dribbling past players, I feel like the players were really excelling at the beginning of the season, especially Bissouma, but lately we...

    Brennan Johnson

I was a bit disappointed when he missed the chance from Son's flick, but his two assists were excellent. I actually think he's been slightly more effective than Kulu (and I like Kulu) on the right wing as Kulu is too predictable. Johnson seems to be a classic winger that doesn't always cut...

    Micky van de Ven

Perfect CB partnership as VdV's presence allows Romero more freedom to be more aggressive in midfield or even play as a striker.

    Son Heung-Min

Excellent pass that basically beat two-three defenders and left a wide open net for Johnson to just guide it into goal. Hope Sonny has been able to get some rest after the tournament, we need this guy in the starting line-up again.

    Guglielmo Vicario

The team spirit at the moment is quite good and it was great to see how much the win meant to the players. Seems like they're all trying to push each other to be better and being supportive, and reveling in the successes as they come.

    Son Heung-Min

Son clearly has so much on his shoulders as he's a man and takes responsibility. Great captain to have, glad he's back and hope he gets some rest before being thrown back in.

So cultured and actually makes our makeshift CBs look better. Total baller from defense to offense and everything in between.

    Giovani Lo Celso

Really played well through the press, better than Bissouma. IMO, he should start over Bissouma even when Maddison is fit. Our range of passing will be disgusting with both of them.

    Dejan Kulusevski

A lot of us have been saying this and Kulu came up big. That's what we've needed from him but regardless of his form, Kulu always comes off as intelligent and fiercely competitive and I think most of the fans recognize that he's that kind of player who wants to make things happen.

    Yves Bissouma

He's supposed to be the boss. No matter what's going on around him, he's got to be the one playing well because he CAN be that good of a player. It's just for whatever reason, he's not doing that. Bentancur showed that for the brief glimpses of game time he got in-between his injuries. He's...
