Davinson Sanchez

So hopefully we're getting to the stage where the lad can be given permission to travel for the medical as we're pretty close with the fee.

Hopefully we'll check the size of his balls as he'll need pretty big ones to play for us. That will form the bulk of his medical.

We are at danger zone for everyone else making bids still but anyone else can fook themselves as we're the mighty spurs and poch has convinced Dave of this.

Hopefully we can get this done we all link hands singing cum bye frickin ya and all in general agreement that levy is indeed a jolly good fellow.

I'm silently wondering whether this means we've accepted that we're losing Toby. I sure as fudge hope not.

We are as always needing to take a punt (40m but under 100k on wages) on the next best thing, if we are unable to off Toby what he needs to sign this is his 2019 replacement.

If he comes is he a high-priced back-up or is Toby out the door? Or is Jan out the door?

Neither, imo. I think we will play 3 at the back more regularly (sanchez--toby--vert) with Dier being used more in midfield again and Dembele rotated a lot more. We saw towards the end of last season how well Dier and Wanyama played as a pair, with Wanyama acting as a more brute force version of Dembele.

Sanchez being able to play right-back is also a bonus -- this signing makes the squad so much stronger in defence and midfield (by way of freeing up Dier). Hope it gets finalised soon.
