Deal is not dead at all.
Valencia want to maximise the deal, and are looking for, in their eyes a littel more in the cash part. Our offer is close enough that an agreement will be made.
Soldado has agreed terms in principle and when the agreement is made between clubs (expected to be this aftrenoon tomorrow morning) the rest will move quickly.

why dont we offer Valencia the best of our kids, like the new Soldado in Harry Kane, the new Albelda in Jake Livermore, and the new Mendietta in Dean Parrett....deal clincher imo

Grey Fox on SC:

Spoke to my contact, he expects this will still be done, also thinks that Valencia either had another offer while we were talking or they got wind of the Marca/Bale brick and thought they could push the deal. Soldado was one of our top two targets, why give up now?

Also says Baldini a busy man and moving on to do further business, he's done his bit with talking to the player and agent, now money men dealing.

This guy has been around for decades and has good record.

Did that guy who had supposedly reliable info from a Villa source about Benteke ever give his side of the story about what transpired?

The Cobra - Deal all but done. No indication from our end that it is off. People need to calm down and relax

Cobra:

Soldado apparently not happy. This is the second time that he has agreed terms with us and he wants to leave
