African players may refuse to play for such clubs and African FAs could also refuse to grant clearance for such. Would countries want players that only want to show up in the world cup? Would players want to be blocked from playing in the AFCON? Imagine Liverpool trying to block Mane or Salah? Now that Tottenham has signed Bissouma. I would be very disappointed if we tried to stop him playing for his country ditto Pape Sarr. No one is forcing European clubs to buy African players.

Besides the change in dates was forced by the UEFA clubs. I have always wanted us to keep it at the start of the year. When it was changed, UEFA clubs started complaining that players weren't resting enough. The AFCON was also then competing with other tournaments. Now it is changed back, clubs are complaining.

To me, I am not with the clubs. I have far more desire to watch my nation play than the club. I await the day when our national economies and leagues are strong enough so that people don't migrate.

African economies have been growing faster than western economies for almost 50 years now. So has the population and corruption. So people see less of the benefits.

Real gdp has grown faster than europe.

So their economies have been growing faster, but as the population has also grown fast, this mitigates the effects. Gdp per person growth is a fraction of other continents.

Solution is educate women and give them careers.

As for corruption. Estimated african countries lose $50bn annually. Mostly going to offshore banks.

So should be today according to Romano? Sounds like a really good player from what I'm reading.

For Destiny to work with Conte and develop under him, that requires Conte to be here next season. It'd be a delight for next summer to roll around and there to just be a deadening silence in the space that was filled this year by every know-it-all pundit spouting off about how Conte's a short-term manager and we'll be lucky if he lasts to the end of this season.

I'm looking forward to working in August 2023 with new Spurs coach Steve Cooper might be truer, but it doesn't have the same ring to it.
