It is obviously on Conte the way he has been playing because if he wasn’t doing what Conte wanted he wouldn’t be on the pitch. Whether he has been poor or not, he’s not hiding and has come up with the goods.Something plenty of others haven’t bothered to do….
 
Matching them up in CM has made a massive difference. The 3vs2 in midfield during the first half was a massive contributor to the Chelsea dominance. At least Conte has changed it up and seen a positive effect. It might lead him to doing it more often when necessary.
