Another shooting in Murica

Interesting. Although i have no idea how that would go in court. Guns are legal.
There's a very narrow argument in some cases that the manufacturer could be sued for the equipment being defective.

Colt have a pin that stops large capacity magazines from being loaded but apparently it can be disabled by just drilling through it. It's apparently very easy to do but the fact that the owner has to make a step to alter the gun means it's unlikely to win.

A stronger argument is take them to court and hopefully something will come out in discovery. That's a bit of a hit and hope though.

All the republican knob heads now citing a once in a generation mass shooting in Denmark as proof that gun restrictions don't work.

Probably had those takes ready typed up with <insert country here> as a placeholder. Would want to get that tweet out before the next mass shooting in the US so have to be quick about it.

Credit to Boebert for what I guess is a factually accurate statement. Gun laws do not stop mass shootings. If one cares to minimise mass shootings though...

Agreed, the total of mass shootings in countries with gun laws in the last 30 years is less than that of the USA on the last 30 days.
Banning guns does not stop the shootings but it sure as hell minimizes them.

Chris Rock talked about gun control in his last Netflix special as a response to the “guns don’t kill people, people kill people argument”. Whilst that’s true, no one has ever stabbed 50 people at the same time in the same location.

"Guns don't kill people, people kill people" is a fascinating statement to me.

Sure, you can argue that it's factually correct, but it's also entirely irrelevant to any meaningful conversation about people being shot to death. So I can only assume people using it don't want to have that meaningful conversation.
