ITK Thread

I’ve never seen him play anywhere other than in midfield
He is a Good player
He played LWF for Italy in the recent nations league games

He has played deeper for Roma in recent seasons just to accommodate zaniolo and pastore - i.e. they were blessed with good ACMs and pellegrini was the most versatile/able to play deeper. A bit like totti used to when Baggio and del piero were in the national side with him

I didn’t watch those games so can’t comment TBH

Sounds like Zaniolo would be possibly one our those special "loan with view to permanent" deals we love. Maybe that's why our ears have pricked up

I should add @Gutter Boy i like him as a player
But we have IMO players already who can play the role he would
Zaniolo is a bit different IMO.

I've been watching both Pellegrini and Locatelli closely for a while as potential 'progressive CM' options for us. That was before we signed Bissouma obviously

I've seen much less of Zaniolo, just because he's been injured forever. Looking at his attributes (strength, hold-up play, creating space for himself), I wondering if medium term there might be thoughts about converting him to a CF (i.e. Kane's heir)? That more advanced role would also lessen any impact his injuries might have had on his pace

Locatelli is top drawer
Stood out most games I’ve seen him play
Zaniolo could play anywhere in attack from what I’ve seen of him
He takes his goals in a similar way to Vlahovic with the tidy left foot finish
He also plays intelligently with the ball
When I see moura stating under conte I just know what’s gonna happen. With someone like Zaniolo we still have an element of unpredictability but a player who can control and pass a ball, so can control the tempo
I’m convinced we’re getting two attackers in which is what we need

highlights below of his hat trick vs Bodo Glimt
