I'd be interested to see that backed up - because i don't see why anyone would have thought Palace would have been in a relegation scrap this season.

As monkeybarry said - pretty much their entire squad was out of contract. Plus the consensus was that Hodgson had been the only thing helping them punch above their weight, and that was just by being a dour long ball side. It could have all gone very wrong. And yet they're only a point ahead of where they were last season - i think Vieira is a long way off of showing himself to be a potential great manager for a club like Arsenal.

The thing that worries me is that they'll sack Arteta in the summer and go for Vieira. Vieira looks the real deal - he's done really impressive things with Palace (who were pretty much everyone's favourites to come bottom this time last year)

Surely not having given him a new deal about 2 weeks ago!

Ouch.
That's a huge impact. Next season is a huge season for us and Cheatski to leave Goons and It's behind.
And fair to say Cheatski are likely to have an uncertain summer as things stand.
