Everton

Dele did change the game when he came on. Won free kicks, carried the ball well, linked up with DCL. Doesn't change the fact they've had a useless season under Fat Frank and embarrassed themselves with the way they carried on at the final whistle.

when the dust settles, another season for them living in liverpool's enormous shadow, and some immense rebuilding needed, dont envy their situation at all

Poch to Everton? Could argue they are in a very similar position to where we were when he took over. Money to spend.

I think he would need to fail somewhere bigger first before he went to somewhere like Everton. Imagine going from PSG to Everton and it didn't work out for whatever reason. In the space of a less than a year his stock could be so low he'd have to go to Turkey or somewhere!

Something about that second half comeback against Palace doesn't seem right given how inept they've been in every other game.

Sleeping giant in a bit of a mess, with some promising youth and money to spend.

We had some very good players. Lloris, rose, walker, vertonghen, eriksen, lennon, kane had just scored a few at the end of the season. Adebayor was scoring every other game. Had just finished 6th in the league.

Everton can't sell their players. They are overpaid and underwhelming. Although 6 will be out of contract this summer.
Their main sponsorship deals and money comes from usmanov, who has been sanctioned. While they're in the middle of building their stadium.
They should have failed the premier league spending rules. Leeds and burnley have launched complaints. Burnley will probably sue (as sheff utd did to west ham).
Just escaped relegation.

Bit of a difference in the 2 situations.
