Unisex toilets are a nightmare practically because there's obviously no urinals, so women have to put up with drunken aiming at small targets all over the seats

I’m told that women’s loos are generally much worse than men’s anyway, because a small minority squat rather than sit, to keep their thighs unsullied, but leaving the seat rather grim.

It seemed like the last straw was used ages ago with this lot, but they keep finding more.

There’s more to it then just character / personality but it saddens me having the leader of our country being such a lying weasel, perhaps a naive view but one would hope for role models rather than scoundrels in positions of power.

I always criticised Cameron for selling off UK companies. One of the reason why I disliked the EU that France and Germany seemed to be able to get away with state aid but uk never could.

Would not have mattered because the Conservatives just sell them off. They don't even bother paying tax on their "winnings".

They have become to complacent.

The French especially protect their national companies. I never understood why we don't do the same. Letting Arm - our one tech giant - be sold off really makes no sense. The French would have stopped it right away. We wave them through.

Weird to think we are only 2 years away from the next election. It can't come soon enough, and yet I expect few have much appetite for it. Little positive seems to have emanated from politics over the past decade. Where are the true visionaries?

I very much liked Tony Benn from the left. True story I was in the cricketers pub in Brighton same time as Bob Crowe the night before he died. Did not agree with everything he said but I knew what he stood for.

These ones are local council elections. The tories don't even waste a deposit in my area. The 5 parties to choose from are lab, lib, green, northern independence, and socialist workers. Labour have run the council for about a century and are stale, corrupt and scandal hit. So it's just who might be the best insurgent party to give them a bloody nose

Prisons, women’s refuges, perhaps single-sex schools. It’s not just loos and sport where trans rights have overstepped common sense. Actually I’m not sure there are any women-only spaces where blokes in dresses should have automatic rights of entry.

Its an incredible difficult subject, but safety should come first.

Years of underfunding education, allied to an almost completely right-wing press, and alongside an inherent English desire for toffs to run the country, are a mix that will be hard to overcome. Starmer doesn’t exactly set the world on fire either.

That said, by next winter the average voter is going to be in the midst of a personal financial brick-storm the likes of which none of them will have lived through before, so we will see.

Starmer's issue will be whether he gets in bed with the SNP because if he does and gives them another referendum and they win. He will be accused of breaking the Union.

I personally feel Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland should all be independent.

Not in Scotland any way, there's a reason sturgeon keeps delaying it, her ride on the gravy train would end pdq when they lose.

Much like the uk in general voting in this tory lot, i'm always surprised how the snp get voted in up here.
The sad truth though is that there is no real opposition to speak of and people go for the status quo.
Better the devil you know.
