***** Tottenham v Liverpool *****

So that Kanes tackle should be a red and even though it does look bad it was not malicious and he genuinely went for the ball. Robertson went for the player, Carragher contradicted himself there saying he feels if the player goes for the player and not the ball it should always be a red card. Kane didn’t go for the player he went for the ball so he is saying that tackles like that should be a yellow even though he was calling for a red.

As for their penalty appeal, we had 4 or 5 of them challenges throughout the game on us all over the pitch and non were given but because its in the box its a big deal? The pundits really have no clue.

Thought everyone bar Ndombele and Royal played really well. Winks, Dier, Sessegnon and Dele were the pick of the bunch. Thought Sees did brilliantly on Salah. Played him really well.

Very encouraged by it. My Dipper supporting mate nearly caused a riot too. Good day all around. Very positive after that.
Agree, NDombele yet again showed why he is such an enigma. It was a great assist, and showed what he can do but then he went missing for the rest of the game. He worked hard still, but when you are a £60m asset with his ability, you should be dominating games and he didn’t against a much weakened Liverpool midfield…..

TBF the refs have no clue either
Not sure how a head onto your arm that causes a save goes unpunished when it leads to a goal. You just award the free kick and it doesn’t happen
Also what happens for deles penalty call just before that?
The ref IMO was poor but poor for both sides

Sounds like Conte is holding back saying "we weren't good enough. We set the right tactics and they worked perfectly except for the brick finishing"

Believing it's always a red when a player goes for the man doesn't mean you then have to believe any time a player goes for the ball it has to be a yellow - a reckless challenge is a reckless challenge regardless of intent

It does when you are a pundit. Its all black and white for them until you need to change it to fit your argument.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but who is the bald guy that manages our substitutions these days? Seems like a new policy, whereby it's not Conte or even his assistant(s) that are out there with the subs and the 4th official, but a Brad Friedel-alike.

Player liason officer, Levy's brother in law - forget his name but he's worked at the club since the days of Poch

Think it's the accidental thing again, may be wrong?
Thing is if his hand hadn't knocked it forward Lloris would not have lunged and palmed the ball away for them to score.
If it's not going in from the handball, but the play continues, then it's considered a non-event, if the ref doesn't call it. Last year it would have been disallowed, though. New rules this year.
