Amazing to think that Dele has 37 caps
They have zero chance of getting back in 1st team and don't look like wanna even try to.

But its a formation which they're used to, and most of these guys DO know each other and have played together and trained together a decent amount before. I can accept that with Gil and Scarlett there is some unfamiliarity in attack

Agree. Sanchez has defended well.
I always look at who our full backs are for a game as that is such an important area to use in an attacking sense. When you have Davies and Tanganga you aren’t going to get much penetration going forward which means you’re going to have to play through the middle to create which is tough with this ‘B’ team.
Not criticising Scarlett but he’s not physically ready to be a CB at even this level yet…..

We know it is not the manager's tactics. We are missing a player in the hole. Won't be surprised to see either of Scarlett or Dele subbed. Not sure if Nuno will do that to Dele as he is one of the senior players and possible impact on morale but damn we are suffering.
Perhaps he will play Dele upfront and bring on Clarke for Scarlett. That would mean Gil moves into the no. 10 role.

Threatened to be a lot worse from the opening 15/20 minutes. Will take level at this stage. Bit of guidance off the boss at HT and hopefully we can snatch this one in the 2nd half

Many players can look good with good players around them. Some, like Dele a few seasons ago (and as Winks showed against Real and Barca) can be brilliant with the right platform.
Sadly, I think it's becoming apparent that neither of them has that rare ability to lift an average team.
