I'd have him, Skipp and PEH to create options in a solid CM and allow the front four lots of freedom.
All three can operate defensively and forward looking, especially with a passing range.
Ward Prowse reminds me of Milner.
 
So it feels like, from what’s been talked about this summer, we’d ideally still like to do this business before the window’s done:

Outs:
- Aurier, Doherty or both
- Sanchez, maybe Dier
- Maybe Davies
- Winks, Sissoko
- Kane (regrettably)

In:
- Tomiyasu
- Kounde / Lacroix / Torres
- Valhinha / Ward-Prowse / Zakaria
- Damsgaard / Madueke
- Martinez / Vlahovic

Any other strong links I’ve missed? Feels like we’d get close to a zero net spend there and be potentially stronger, striker changes pending.

If we could get all that business done we'd be a lot, lot stronger in my view

I actually think we'll get a lot of it done - certainly a RB given Tomiyasu seems advanced, and probably a CB given there seem to be a lot of options. I think we'll also get CFs in given the necessity and probably a CM too. I'm a bit sceptical about the Damsgaard type - just wonder whether we'll have the cash and there won't be many alternatives
