A father of four who was fatally stabbed while coming to the aid of another man was a "fantastic bloke" who helped his neighbours, a friend said.

James Gibbons, 34, was attacked at Iris Mews, Laindon, near Basildon in Essex, shortly after 21:30 BST on Sunday.

Three boys and two girls, aged 13 to 16, have been arrested on suspicion of murder, with three released on bail

Mr Gibbons, who ran his own bathroom fitting company, had just spent the day celebrating the second birthday of his twin daughters

This country went down the cr*pper long ago. I don't even look at the little pikeys driving their mopeds through our village revving up and making a racket. I have not worked this hard to stay alive to be stabbed by some 14 year old from a broken home whose plasterer father has a drink problem and his dinner lady mother a drug problem.

They're the people who seek to overturn democracy by storming the government seat of power, execute elected officials whose views don't align with their own, and suppress the democratic voting rights of ethnic minorities by introducing discriminatory legislation that overtly targets and impacts a subset of society.

They're also tbe people who actively support and promote state sponsored violence against ethnic minorities, and leaders who whip up baseless hysteria against ethnic minorities through lies and misinformation.

Clear enough for you?

Agree with most of what you wrote, but someone needs to over throw democracy as it does not work, most of the population realise it and dont bother voting. Parliament of all parties just work for interest and pressure groups the rest of us just have to suck it up.

They look pretty identifiable. If you knew them, you'd recognise them from those cctv images.
The whole thing is despicable. But the spitting into the defibrilator box at the end, on top of everything else? Absolute scum.
