OMT - Tottenham Hotspur vs West Bromwich Albion

Like that team, glad Kane is back
Don't really like seeing Sanchez though he is one of the worst defenders we have and that is not saying much

Never happy to see Sanchez play and would have preferred Rodon. The rest makes sense, Bergwijn hasn’t cemented his place and Lamela was our best player against Chelsea. Don’t see goals on the bench so if we do go behind I fear the worst.

Not sure what to make of it. Sanchez? He’s proven time and again he’s a liability. Lamela will start and underwhelm but can understand why Jose has picked him. Always the same with Lamela though - look great in a cameo, start the next game and look terrible.

Happy Kane is fit but not happy to see him start so soon especially in a game we shouldn’t need him in. We always rush him back but the manager seems to have no other tactic than relying on Harry’s brilliance so, given the run we’re on, not surprised. We’ll win today I expect but I don’t expect us to get much kudos for it and it’ll just ramp up the narrative that we are “the Harry Kane team”.

This is another must-win match for us. With us losing our last 3 league matches, we badly need to beat WBA to get back to winning ways. We have a mixed record against WBA, winning 2, drawing 4 and losing 1 of our last 7 matches against them. With us only winning 2 of our last 10 league matches, Mourinho and the team are under great pressure. We have no choice but to win to ease the pressure. Let's hope we will turn up with the right mentality to win this match and move up the league table.

Both Lamela and Lucas start; dumb and dumber.

One consistently puts his head down and dribbles directly at goal, ruining our runners and angles and timing as he dances round one man and straight into three others.

One consistently puts his head down and dribbles diagonally across the pitch, ruining our runners and angles and timing as he dances round one man and straight into three others.

Seems we either get the Sissoko show; no passing, no awareness, no technique, hides from the ball.

Or we get the headless chicken show with Lamela and Moura making the pitch narrow and driving into 7 defenders.

I might actually quite like Lamela and Moura if they were told to PASS and to stay out wide to stretch the opponent's defence, but they just run straight into the heart of our attack and their defence, over and over.

Better than another afternoon of Sissoko passing backwards.

I'm surprised Winks isn't starting or even on the bench unless he's picked up an injury.

Is woeful, should not even be anywhere near the bench, would rather Rodon or Japhet

Looking at the team lineup, happy to see Kane returning with Son, Lamela and Moura joining in attack. This is probably our best attack now. Hope they can get us the badly needed goals. Ndombele and Hojbjerg in are also our best option in midfield. But not happy to see the error-prone Sanchez returning in defence to partner Alderweireld. Both Dier and Sanchez makes too many errors to be reliable in defence. Rodon should have started even if he had made a costly mistake against Liverpool. Let's hope we will put up a good performance and get a convincing win to get back into the top 4 race.

Everytime he puts Sanchez back in he makes a massive fudge up, it's a joke
How is he getting game time the bloke is more of a liability than Dier or Toby and that is saying something

Just hope lamela remembers he has two feet
Moura remembers he has eyes
Serge remembers not to head butt anyone’s back
Davies remembers when you pass to keep it from bouncing to the player like a bomb
Sanchez remembers we where white
That would be basic progress

Apparently if we get 3, Fat Sam will set a record for the most goals conceded in the first 10 games
of any manager in Prem history.

Apparently Tottenham are looking to record their first league double over West Bromwich Albion since the 2011-12 season under manager Harry Redknapp!!
