OMT Spurs - Fulham

Scott Parker is totally in the right here.

Fulham played at the weekend, and named their team for that match, not knowing they would have a game this week.
Spurs played at the weekend with a team in preparation for a game this week.

Mourinho comparing to a late postponement, which is maybe something you get for bad weather is with the little respect it deserves, ridiculous and laughable.

A Sunday League team would never be treated so badly as to get 2 days notice of a match, we would be up in arms, and rightly so if the shoe was on the other foot.

Fulham should think themselves lucky that they weren't forced to play the game before when they had the required 14 players available.

There is no rule in the League about having 14 players available. The precedent with Emirates Marketing Project, Saudi Sportswashing Machine etc. was there, they are not lucky at all.
The 14 players you somehow quote as law was guidance, it is not in the League's rules. For all we know they had no medical staff or goalkeepers available as they were all isolating. Independent health experts are advising the Premier League in respect to whether specific games should go ahead or not depending on the circumstances.

They have been treated disgracefully by the League in respect to this fixture, and we have had a massive break.

The 2020/21 Premier League handbook says:

"permission will not be granted to postpone a league match where the applicant club has 14 or more players listed on its squad list available."

You are right that the PL has been applying different criteria when cancelling games but that is why we are in danger of not being able to complete the season before the Euros.

I wonder if Joshua Onomah will get his once-per-decade goal tomorrow against his mighty boyhood idols?

Don't worry, we've done our time being royally fudged by the EPL with regards to breaks. I think Parker's a giant clown shoe for having a moan, having said that he's likely learned from Mourinho that you have to set the stall so as next time they think twice (so, errr, good for him???????)

4-0, Sissoko double, Dele and Grealish own goal. Villa to be so poor they look like, errr, Fulham or someone like that...

They were warned off over the weekend ("it's impossible" - patently wrong), and it was confirmed 09:30 monday ("48 hrs notice" -patently wrong).

FFS - he would have had his XI and tactics in mind for December- starting point for selection, and don't forget the extra rest they had over Christmas.

Parker needs to listen to himself as he gives himself a good talking to. The Muppet !

If they turn up for half a team they will be behaving really stupidly, and lack of players isn't one of Parker's whinges. So far.
