VAR: Sponsored by Chelsea

If we had scored they had chalked it off, before Saudi Sportswashing Machine took their penalty

We had an attacking move straight from the Dier handball incident, while the VAR retrieved his thumb from his arse and before the ref blew for the VAR review. What would have happened if we had scored during this time?

Goal disallowed and more mirth for gooners, spammers plus old and new liverpooh fans.

So how exactly does VAR not pull up Shaw's challenge as a red card? Does anyone know?

Given that the ball had gone beyond Shaw's reach the attempted tackle is like the punch once the bell has gone, not to be too hyperbolic but it seemed like assault to me. Fortunately Moura seems okay but what possible interpretation of the law or just simply common sense could not lead to Shaw being sent off? I don't get it.

Call Of The Year (so far).

Finally, for once, LiVARpool get nobbled by a ticky-tacky call and lose two big points from it. What's not to like? Could represent our title-winning margin at season's end. And, for those of us watching on DAZN, made Peter Drury's shriekingly sycophantic goal call meaningless.

And Pickford''s tackle on Van Dijk? Ehh, not so much. Pretty brutal lunge that should have been punished. It wasn't a blatant violent conduct sort of incident or the reckless studs up tackle of Richarlison later on, but clumsy and irresponsible enough to get a red.

Still, always looking on the bright side, he made some great saves to keep Everton in the game and produce a result that best serves Spurs.

Looking at the lines used surely VAR are also using the wrong angles? A football pitch is square so the line is surely parallel with the box? Their line goes off at some ridiculous angle?
