Harry Kane MBE

Tactics that expect him to be John Fashanu type player is killing him.

I don’t think that’s the case, although his effort level was so low it’s hard to tell what he was supposed to be doing, he wasn’t pressing, he wasn’t attacking the few crosses that did come in, he wasn’t dropping deep to collect the ball and make space for others, he wasn’t pulling wide either, he was hiding by the Everton centre halves.

This isn’t how he played when he was banging in 50 a season.

Too big for his boots now, he’s forgotten what made him special.

Rubbish

People say that when he doesn't score and he goes on runs

End of last season it was his goals that covered the teams back

24 in 34 come end of season isn't anywhere near what you are saying

The lad has carried our club for near his entire career, nowhere ever has he been too big for his boots, he has in more cases been too big for the club but been the opposite of too big for his boots

fudge this guy, takes a week off of pre season prep to play international friendlies then puts in that level of effort, wasn’t even at 10% today.

Needs a kick up the arse.

We will never sign better though. We can’t even sign a backup striker for him so how do people expect our top top recruitment team who don’t like transfer windows to replace Kane himself?

player with a higher ceiling, no we probably won't, but a player doing the things Kane used to do would offer more to the team than what we saw from him today

Eriksen has gone, he has to be the guy now, it has to be him, he needs to lead, when its going badly he needs to get on the ball and do something, he's proven he has the ability

all this talk of Kane needing to leave to win trophies, he doesn't, what he needs to do is take over games like today and get them won

All of this talk is just so you can absolve your favorite coach of any blame isn't it:D

If he hands in a transfer request between now and October the 5th, I wouldn't hold it against him.
We are miles off where we were in 2016/17.

We are ever getting better than Kane
we’re talking about a true world class striker and right now there rare as hens teeth

I think with the Bale signing perhaps something has clicked mentally with Harry and he’s suddenly feeling more confident with the direction the club are taking.
Whether it’s not wanting to be eclipsed, or feeling happier that the club are displaying the ambition he often talks about wanting to see, it sounds like he’s on fire early into the season which (injuries permitting) can only bode well.

And if he plays against a team as abject as SCBC every week that would also help.
