The glorious march to CL qualification

This. Let's not forget that the footballing gods were overall nicer to us this season. Maybe Levy did good building a temple for them at WHL. but a season where both man u and arsenal are seriously faltering, and Chelsea with their all star team barely keeping up with us.

Are you on the wind up? We got fudged over! That the other clubs weren’t able to take advantage of the ridiculous amount of injuries, stadium delays, no pre season, harsh touch line bans, etc. is a reflection of how poor they are rather than some sort of luck we have had.

Except for yesterday. We totally lucked out with those results.

Just can't believe recent results, really.

Ok so how is this- arsenal win 5-0 next weekend, spurs lose 4-0 against Everton but Chelsea win the Europa league and spurs win the champions league- would arsenal miss out on a champions league spot finishing 4th?

No. The only situation where the team finishing 4th doesn't qualify is now no longer possible. It would have needed both the CL and EL winners to be outside of the CL places in the league and we can no longer finish behind Man Utd.

No. Chelsea would have to win the Europa and finish outside the top 4.

It is amazing that despite losing 7 of our last 11 league matches and 13 in total, we are still in top 4 in the league. Shows you how poor the PL have been this season except for Liverpool and Emirates Marketing Project. Good to know ManU can't overtake us while we are almost guaranteed to finish ahead of Arsenal baring a miracle. But after finishing in top 3 for the past 3 seasons, it will be a huge setback for us if we finish in 4th this season. Hope we can beat Everton and Chelsea drop points against Leicester so that we can finish in 3rd this season as well.

Sorry mate but that is rubbish ( imo) when you take into consideration how many injurys we have had to contend with this season( and i know injurys happen but we have had more then i can remember for years), the players who returned late after a busy world cup and not having time to recover then even IF we finish forth then looking at it as a huge setback a over reaction ( imo).

I think it's down to the World Cup plus all 4 going fairly deep into European competitions. It endurance failure

Agreed. There’s lots of banter across the clubs supporters that this is a terrible race for CL but there has to be something more to it. World Cup definitely a massive factory Europe could well be a factor and then compared to Liverpool, we’ve had far more injuries than they have.

I remember at the start of the season Liverpool left Fabinho out for the first couple of months. Then they left out Henderson. We really haven’t had anywhere close to the luxury.
