Disagree massively. All 9 of our players should have gone down yesterday to win freekicks, to feign injury, with cramp etc. to kill the spirit/mood/pressure that was building up. So naive, so poor, so ignorant of how to win a game.

Just a bunch of nice kids, getting thumped.

Absolutely. Still not qunty enough at key moments. If Sonny is smarter, Lerma gets a yellow or red for thumping him. Last few mins of injury time? Waste a few seconds. Anything. Obstruct the corner. Take a yellow. Anything.

It's interesting, one of the big criticisms of Bielsa's teams is that they end up running out of steam at the end of the season, in don't think he's won anything since the 80's even though he's considered the father of modern tactics and a big influence for Poch, Pep, Simeone etc.

His Leeds team has fallen off massively second half of the season and we have (again). I remember reading that Poch is the closet to Bielsa of all this generation of managers and his teams are following a similar pattern as his mentors.

We haven't pressed like we used to for a couple of seasons now. The players are just shot mentally. Same old with us. Any sort of pressure we can't handle it. Still fuming by the way.

When it comes to the darker side of the game we’re fine. We have plenty of players who dive, Kane, Alli, Son etc.
Not fine enough. I would hardly call Son and Kane divers in the current climate, and though Alli doesn't shy away from a little aerial tango, he is but a mere padawan to the Sith lords of Emirates Marketing Project, Liverpool, United and Chelsea.

I see what you are saying but these are not things we work on in training because its very rare there is a need for it.

On the other hand most of the brick teams in the PL will spend long periods prepping for games against the big sides discussing how they can cheat and do sly disgusting little things like what lerma was doing all game in order to gain an advantage.

Teams like burnley will work solely on parking the bus and then talk about how the gk must take as long as he can from the first minute. Outfield players are told to stay down for any foul for as long as possible. Moan at the referee for as long as possible in any break in play etc etc.

They will then spend time with players on the ipads talking about who in the opposition to kick off the ball and wind up throughout the game.

Son was specifically targeted yesterday in a very deliberate and co-ordinated way and eddie howe should be thoroughly ashamed of himself for giving him those instructions.

These people are nothing short of a disease in the beautiful game and need ripping out root and stem and burning to the ground.

It doesn't help when the ref is a total dumb fudge and has no idea whatsoever that he’s being played.

People forget that most of this team went a long way in the World Cup which is slowly beginning to catch up with the team, which further underlined the short sightedness of not getting some back up players for the squad. Wafer thin at the beginning of the season that one decision is coming home to roost. You can’t fault the lads they are shattered. It’s a squad game and unfortunately our back ups haven’t been good enough. Foyth is young but has way too many brain farts. Dier is not match fit nor wanyama winks is not fit enough sissoko has been the best of a bad bunch Ali has been under performing. This is a team under pressure and poch has to step up now.

Chelsea 0 Watford 0 at HT. I guarantee there will be a tumble or four, a moan and all sorts going on...

Arsenal and Chelsea get the results when it really matters. Shame we always fail. clams

You're, as the cognitive therapists would say, cherry picking "facts" and thinking in black and white here. :p scum have bottled it loads over the past few seasons. Chelski too.

Woke this morning hoping the anger would have passed but I’m still fudging fuming and sick over yesterday.

How in the name of fudge are we in this position? How do we end up needing 2 points from our last three games, lose the first two against a side who hadn’t won away in 8 and another who hadn’t won at home in 5, leaving us needing to beat the toughest of the three opponents.

There’s no excuses for this. Poch can talk all this brick about “we are doing great just to be here” but if we don’t make CL, it is the biggest bottle job in our history. And it’s not like the competition isn’t stiff.

He’s done great to have us competing, no doubt. We are punching above our weight to be top 4 too. But, given where we were, we should have made it by now even with all the extenuating circumstances. There are no excuses for the scale of the bad results over the last few months. Now is the time to just go and get the job done.
Difference between bottlejob and player's attitude. We have been poor for a while based on players' efforts. What really got me worried was our performance since the Southampton game.

Try remembering waaaay back in the dim and distant past where the Goons lost three in a row, letting in 3 in each game. Hint: it was before today v Brighton.

Maybe. We will see on Sunday who gets their 3 points. We just seem to always be the fool guys.

Didn't happen, they always get the results they need, that's why they're so far ahead of us in the league.
