MOURA ANNOUNCEMENT

We’re expecting Tottenham to announce the signing of Lucas Moura very shortly, according to our reporter Paul Gilmour.

"His medical is now complete and we understand there are no problems. He's at the training ground just to finalise the deal and we are expecting an imminent announcement."

Imminently imminent.

What were you doing when Lucas Moura was announced!!?

It's not the same as it was with transfer rumours, and signings. Partly because the team is that much more sorted. Any new player has to be at such a high level to get us excited. I am enthusiastic about Moura, but as a squad enhancing signing short term, who could become a star longer term. Don't expect too much too soon though.

If this guy plays on the right should he have a good understanding with Aurier from at least training together at PSG.

We have lacked that since Corluka and Lennon.

I was reading something earlier about clubs having the over-emphasis on star signings rather than building combinations and teamwork. Corluka and Lennon was a very good right sided combination, although both had limitations alone. Dawson also was very good with King (as were most players) but far more limited with other partners. Toby and Verts are an excellent pairing in the current team, arguable world class at their best. You contrast this with Liverpool who keep buying expensive CBs to fix their defence.

it doesnt help when klopps defensive advise to defenders is "run around a bit"
