Is that Brian May with two cosplay badgers?

BEST. OMT. EVER.

97-3 it is. Sissoko scoring all of them.

Clearly you hate Spurs more with this brick-show of an effort

Fired up for this one. I won't be there, but think we should get through, will depend how much the players want to win the league cup. As West Ham will treat it like a Cup Final as it's the nearest that they'll get to one, against us at Wembley.

We should put out the same side that played AFC Wimbledon in the previous round.

Something close to it anyway.

Might want to give Winks a breather. Dembele might not be fit/risked.
Perhaps Alderweireld for Vertonghen.

Will be interesting to see what Pochettino goes for.

This would be my selection:

------------------vorm
-------toby-----foyth----davies
-kwp------------dier------------rose
----------sissoko-------dele
-------------------son
-----------------llorente

That's a strong enough team to win the game. Gives Davies a run-out as he's missed a couple of games, but not as much running as at wing-back. Gives Rose, Foyth, Vorm, Llorente and KWP needed game-time. Rests Kane, Lloris, Vert, Aurier, Winks, Eriksen and Sanchez -- 7 players who can all return v Man Utd.

I'm taking my boy to his first midwek game, so we better not lose this!!

I suspect the staring line-up for this will have th Manure-Madrid double-header in mind. I think as a rule whoever is earmarked at present to start those two will sit this out. So i think the following definitely wont start:
Lloris, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Aurier, Eriksen, Kane, Dele

So i think we will start with:

Vorm
Foyth, Dier, Sanchez
Walker-Peters, Winks, Dembele, Rose
Sissoko, Son
Llorente

I think we'll have Dele, Eriksen on the bench if neccesary.

I think a nervy 3-2 win.

COYS
Please

Speaking of travelling to and from the game; are the Spammers more likely to use the Metropolitan Line, Jubilee line or the National Rail from Marylebone to Wembley Stadium?
Basically, do i need to think about where their Trogs are likely to be if with my boy? (On my own i wouldn't normally care so much, but i don't want him scarred by seeing them at their oafish best..)

Probably many will take Jubilee from stratford or West Ham - maybe looks a roundabout route but no changes and air conditioned.

That said, the sort you'll want to avoid may take a stopping/pub crawl route.

Less likely to go Chiltern rail to Webley Stadium, but not many extra trains can get in among late commute.

Vast majority will be coming from east, so Met or Jubilee lines into Wembley Park. Probably the Met Line from Liverpool Street on the way there as it is so much quicker than the slow, Jubilee route.
After the game will be different, with the Met Line being suspended between Wembley Park and Aldgate from 10pm, which will force everyone onto the Jubilee line.
Hopefully they'll all have bailed out early if they're losing. Else it's going to be a long, long journey home for some of us!

Thanks @Whiffler and @Glenda's Legs
How much better for time (and less chance of aggro!) is going home via Wembley Stadium and the Chiltern line compared to Wembley Park and the Jubilee line?
Also, i've been told to leave 5 mins early if i can to avoid the slow queues out of the stadium; if i stay and leave , say,20 mins later does it make a difference to slowness of leaving the area?

I always use Wembley Stadium (WCX), picked my ST to be nearer. Not been to WP for 30years or more (it's the obvious one and it seems that's where you are hered the most), have never used WC on a match day.

Trains WCX to MYB avery 10 mins, 9mins journey. On Sunday (Liverwhinge 80,000+) I stood up and walked approx 1min after FT as is my wont (say 16:55?), and was on the 18:55 train at Charing Cross with several minutes to spare after a call at a catering outlet. Probably on 3rd train once in the WCX queue, which is orderly and convivial so non-worrisome for kids.

From MYB I now use Bakerloo, but No 5 to Old Bow via Angel, Bishopsgate, Aldgate runs from right by the concourse and has proved reliable in a previous life (travelling back to Liv St).

Spam game is without tiers 4/5, so max crowd 50,000? If it runs to ET expect distant fans to depart for connections, in which case smoothing the flow.

Thanks. Food for thought. Btw, do you mean bus 205? Also, are you from SE London/Kent Way?

Yeah - bus 205. Other routes are available, but not knowing your destination ....

I'm in Battle

FFS ! - I'm Tim Sherwood !.

Cheers; I'm SE London, Brockley/Honok Oak.

If it was any other game, i'd risk Wembley Park and just take the one-change route and go to Canada Water.
But being a game vs West Ham and at that late time of night i feel i can't be too careful with a child in tow...crazy i no, but...

Interesting challenge for Poch. We need to rotate, but its important to keep our momentum and good feeling going.

Vorm, Rose, Foyth, Davies (hopefully), Trippier, Llorente probably main swaps.

Dele & Son possible as neither of them have played all/full games in last couple of weeks, Dier may have to give Winks a rest.
