Anyone remember that Bale chap?

Time to come back. The marketing and commercial value should pay for the fee and wages. The idea of him in a man u shirt is abhorrent to me.He is one of the top 5 in known footballers around the world.Having him would increase our naming rights and all the sponsorship we are trying to get and most importantly he would improve the team.Enic understand the value of an investment and this is what it would be.We have the opportunity we mustn't let it slip through our hands.

Not even interested in it happening... He looks weaker than the Tottenham version.

He's been out injured for a while though, and possibly not 100% match fit. I don't watch La Liga at all, so take my opinion with a huge pinch of salt, but I'm fairly sure a fit and firing Bale would be immense for us.

Him and Modric in our current side, and we'd be champions now, IMO. But they're history at Spurs, and I think we're better off not trying to convince ourselves we'll see them back in lilywhite.

I watch la liga regularly, and I honestly can't remember last time he scored a goal like those he used to bang in for us, or use his power and pace to just burst through the defence. I think all the recent injuries has affected him. He's not the same player as 2-3 years ago imo

I have to agree with you here. He does seem to score a lot with his head though, as does Ronaldo.

Forgetting the realities of his wage/cost and the fact that injuries have really hurt him since leaving us.

He would be an absolute statement signing, think he would be enough to push us over the line to winning something, would be a sponsor's wet dream.

Rumours now Real are looking to get rid, and supposedly Bale prefers us over Chelski and Manure. Probably bullcrap as usual, but would we and should we?

if he comes he will be Man U bound I think - they will pay his wages and he is the profile of player they are looking for.

I would be over the moon to be proved wrong.

We shouldn't and I hope we won't. He will want insane wages and is likely to spend a lot of time out injured.

Unless he has an underlying injury which keeps re-occurring I don't think his fitness would be an issue, his wages may be high but what he brings to a team is worth it. I would have him back in a heartbeat.

I can't decide. In one way it would be an amazing signing, a statement of where we are going but in another way Bale comes with a lot of risk. Assuming an arrangement could be made on his wages (and I'm not sure how that is possible) then would Bale fit with Poch's playing philosophy ? I don't think so and his fitness is big concern. I think I've convinced myself to no.
