Josh King

His speed and power have always been special, excellent attitude and work rate as well. Think Pochettino would like him.
If Kane's out then I wouldn't be against playing both Janssen and King to compensate the presence and goal threat up front.
Our glorious attacking line behind the striker has looked more tame without than when Kane's in the team

Tottenham turn attention to Bournemouth's Josh King in effort to strengthen attack. @Matt_Law_DT reports http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/30/tottenham-turn-attention-bournemouths-josh-king-effort-strengthen/…

Not a massive fan of him myself but only the managers opinion matters.

I think he has shown enough for a move up. If King can continue his improvements, he could warrant a squad place. He has the attributes, pace strength, and his technical skill has come on in the last year or so. Could see Poch taking him to another level again. But no I don't he will become a world beater overnight. A good steady professional though.

He has had one good season, i suppose it depends on what they want us to pay for him if its a high fee its a risk.

As i said earlier he has had one good season, I suppose it would depend on what his fee would be but IF its high it would be too much of a risk ( imo).

The problem is the moment a striker tends to have had more than one good season they tend to be outside our price range

Of course i understand that, however he has played 164 games in England and scored only 32 goals( I6 of those in 36 games last season) so as i said one good season. He is a decent player but if they are asking good money for him like i say its a risk and one i hope we do not take.

You do have to take into consideration that before last season he was not widely played as a central striker but instead an attacking midfielder / winger

Remember we will be starting the season without both Lamela and Son and if Kane got injured we have a serious problem
Son at worst shouldn't be out for long after season starts, and if we are looking for Lamela replacements I'd hope for someone else. I don't mind him coming, but like I said not at the expense of playing to for Jansen....

I think this is exactly the sort of player Poch would want. Fast, hard worker, can play a few different positions across the front, proven Prem quality and scores. In fact, as a squad addition he would be great off the bench/rotating in. I suspect his chemistry with the squad would be good too. Much rather him than Chicharito, who I could see getting huffy if he isn't regular PLUS does not seem like the hardest worker on the field.

I really think the chicarito thing is ballacks

He just isn't a player that suits a Poch team

Son will be back. It was only the first week of pre-season training he was potentially going to miss

I do not doubt Son will be back, it is the "when" that concerns me. Neither Rose or Lamela were due to be out this long. We all know Spurs have previous for getting things like this wrong

I don't think it is the club getting it wrong, it is just that some injuries are difficult to diagnose. There is no reason to believe that the problems with Rose and Lamela should be carried across to other players
