Douglas Costa

awesome dawson

Mitchell Thomas
Yes please!

Despite the risk his agent his whoring him out to the likes of us in order to boost his profile, he does seem likely to move.

Would represent a significant upgrade on George N'Koudou or Sissoko. That interview with Danny Rose hinted at the impact a proven winner could make as a marquee signing. Get him in Levy!

Can't see why BM would get rid tbh. Ribery and Robben aren't getting any younger.

Why has he struggled in Germany? Isn't that a concern, in comparison with say how Son bossed the division

Also he's 26 already and spent almost all his career in uncompetitive leagues (Ukraine)

But are either guaranteed first team football at a "lesser" club like ours?

This is the problem we have right now...It's been fairly well documented amongst the media / pundits / fans etc, that our first 11 is amongst, if not the strongest in the Prem. It's going to take a signing of unrealistic proportions (an Alexis Sanchez, Hazard-esque player) to walk straight into the team.

However, our bench of Sissoko, GKN, Onomah, Janssen, Wimmer etc just aren't quite good enough to be the impact game-changers we need to really push for the title and cups. With the exception of Winks, who can "do a job" and is def on the rise, our bench is certainly limited.

Van Dijk for example - i'm gonna hate to see him go to Liverpool. But the reality is that he prob wouldn't get in over a very settled Jan/Toby partnership. So we have to watch him sign for a rival.

Feels as though everyone else is strengthening (or rumoured to be), whilst in the meantime we're on the hunt for lesser names who we'd have to regard as a fingers-crossed-can-become-somebody-under-Poch's-guidance type signing.

Therein lies the rub.

We only need one player though, so can be discerning. Liverpool, City and Arsenal need whole new defences and United need a whole new team

As I live in Germany, I have seen a lot of Bayern.

He hasn't struggled. He simply has robben playing in his position who is still incredible at 30+.

His agent made a couple of silly comments in January about leaving, that upset the board and ancelotti.

Was very good under Guardiola, he would be superb for us but simply cant see see how we win the race. Rumours he is off to Juventus.

I'm laughing at the other clubs! They seem desperate and are ready to spend £50-80 million on players that will hardly improve them. It's hilarious and I'm not worried

People will panic soon enough and demand purchases

We have a fan base who are used to speculation and rumours and I actually think we crave it to a point as it keeps us interested out of season

Pool this week alone (with the rumours) would have spanned £110m on VVD and Salah.... let's not forget that is more than our first 11 cost and neither would get in it!!!!! It's silly season and scary times at the moment for those that don't have a plan or structure
