*** OMT Tottenham vs Arsenal ***

You had me up to the picture of Victor with ball growing out his head, own goal, red card and 10 match ban coming up.

We can cope without Rose, but we need Dembele as hell. I'll be rather confident about the result if both our midfield beasts start.
Arsenal are on amazing run (3 hard-fought wins in a row in all competitions for them) and switched their playing scheme to 3-4-3.
By the start of the game we will know the result of Chelsea's game against Everton, which could/would put additional pressure on us.
If we win, scum won't be able to overtake us even mathematically. This means a home celebration of St. Arsene day.

Buzzing already.

If we're without Dembele the second half against Palace saw us with a similar central midfield to what we played at home to Emirates Marketing Project earlier this season. One of our best performances of the season. Difference being Dier holding against Palace while Wanyama did so against City. Both had Eriksen and Alli box to box ahead of the lone defensive midfielder. Both with a back 4 in essentially a 4-3-3/4-1-2-2-1.

This is the way I would want us to start if Dembele is unavailable or a doubt. It means dropping one of Wanyama or Dier though.

Any chance Rose is fit for this? If he is, I'd like us to go 3421. If he isn't, then go with a back 4 and Davies at left back.

Assuming Dembele is fit, along with Rose:

-----------------lloris
---------dier----toby-----vert
-walker---wanyama--dembele--rose
------------eriksen----dele
-----------------kane

No Rose:

----------------lloris
walker---toby----vert----davies
----------dier----dembele
------eriksen---dele----son
----------------kane

I agree. Basically our worst option is Dier and Victor as the two DM.......and that is only because of their average performances together at the start of the season. It may get better? (as things tend to do at Tottenham)

I love arsenal fans ... there I said it. Full value for comedy.

I've been reading a few forums and they are "masterminding" our demise.

They actually believe they can end our season if we lose. Yes arsenal fans if we lose our whole season is a failure. Perspective please.

I just look at the arsenal fans on tv and genuinely I think if football was not around what would you be capable of talking about?

Not even being funny but they humiliate the club "innit bruv crips are sick" English please I know it may not be your first language but please make an effort to learn. You will enjoy a better quality of life and your opinion may even be taken somewhat seriously no matter how stupid it may be.

Must be the first time in a very VERY long time we have gone into this game as favourites. And i don't mean "edging it with the bookies due to home advantage" favourites, I mean all ex-Gooner pundits praising us to the hilt whilst the media talk of how the tides have turned etc etc. More so than last season. A quick look at the latest Sky Sports app videos show Merse predicting 3-1, Henry claiming only Sanchez gets in our first 11, and Winterburn lamenting the praise on our team and work ethic.

Meanwhile, their fans talk of ending our title run and derailing the season, being only team to win at WHL this season blah blah blah. All the smalltalk we usually have to resort to in an attempt to even things out.

All we need to do now is back up all this talk with an actual result!!

I'm kind of nervous and confident all at the same time for Sunday. I am confident we will win this. I'm nervous we won't.
I know, it doesn't really make sense!
But yes, we WILL win. If every Spurs supporter goes into the ground on Sunday believing we will win, then how can it not happen!

I'm also trying to imagine what it will be like when we take the lead, and then when we score again, (and, hopefully, again, and...). The whole ground (well, apart from that bit in the SW corner) is just going to erupt like never before.
It is going to be a long, long wait until Sunday afternoon.

Everything goes out of the window in this game anything can happen etc ... we will turn up and if that happens they will get dismantled. If they turn up they may get a lucky goal

Cant bear to imagine the thought of scum beating us. Our home record gone, our chances of the league gone. All down to Arsenal, would be even worse if they then went on to with the FA cup regardless of finishing above them.

or

We smash them and Chelsea lose and its down to 1 point!

most probably be a 2-2 draw with them scoring late and chelsea drawing too.

I know what you mean. For the first time probably ever, I'm expecting us to win, even last season it was more finely poised. However, I don't write them off for two reasons;

1. Sanchez. They are a one man team but their one man is capable of winning it for them if he turns up.

2. It's Spurs away and the last ever NLD at the lane. Those fudgers have a habit of turning up against us even when they are playing dogbrick. I believe they were the only team to beat us at home in the 1987 season when we had a similarly great home record? Would be just like them to end our unbeaten run.

If both teams play to the same level then I have no doubt we will win unless they get a huge slick of luck, which you can never rule out when it comes to those clams.

I hate them with a passion but I can't blame them for being over confident. More often than not, they seem to have the edge over us. I think last season's derby at the lane when we couldn't even beat them when they had 10 men and we were a goal up is a prime example. The fans will be up for it without a doubt and we have better players than them now but you could have argued that in quite a few of the last 5 seasons and the team need to start showing it with dominant performances over them like they did to us when they had superior players.

I have no doubt we will score goals but I'm a bit worried about the defence holding their nerve and Lloris in goal in particular. He tends to save his worst performances for the big game IMO, I hope I'm wrong.
