Transfer speculation

Also not sure if he is gettable but Liverpool let him leave on loan to Palace, but I like Sakho(spelling) in defence, not sure why they let him leave he is better then what they have.

I've watched quite a bit of Anderlecht vs Man U tonight and Tielemans 31 has done a lot of jogging slowly, passing sideways, losing tackles, failed forward passes, stayed very deep and been quiet all game. I thought this guy was supposed to be a big talent?

Best thing since sliced bread, or so they say ;)

Big in Belgium doesn't always translate to a more competitive environment.

He was poor against us last season, particularly in the home leg where Mason dominated him

Oh I say.

He was 18 years old. We won the home game 2-1 (perhaps a little fortunately) and lost the away game 2-1 (perhaps a little unfortunately)

Rumours of a world record bid gone in for Mbappe of €130mil from RM and/or Emirates Marketing Project

probably united, only people stupid enough to pay 130M ... really are only 2-3 players in the world worth anything close to that (and two of them are on wrong side of their career path).

Re us ...

- I expect to see a few youth/squad/potential acquisitions that may or may not pan out.
- Striker on the to buy list.

If we do end up 2nd, I wouldn't be surprised to see one attempt at a big signing, one player who could make a difference (not saying we will get them, but could see us trying)

Too many very rich underperforming sides out there for us to land the players we need.

We will buy at the second or third tier yet again, thus our current plight. (I do no include Sissoko as a £30m transfer.)

But those sides can't offer the carrot of stability, a new stadium and the Poch factor

The only player I think we wanted last season that went to another similar side was Mane and we were slow to react. It also he was offered double Kane money. He is a good player but was offered money that was more than he was worth at the time (he has now proved his worth but that was a gamble)

Zaha and Barkley are my two particular warning lights for disasters waiting to happen at the moment.
Both seem a bit flakey to me, and I think we can find better. Happy to be proved wrong, but it will take a lot of money to find out.
Would rather spend that money on finding the next Berbatov, Modric, Bale or Dele.
