***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v sunlun***

Wow! This OMT.... We're totally fudged! Abysmal! Sunderland 5-0 Spurs nailed on. We're doomed I say. DOOMED!

Quote from a Mackem not too confident of a good time: "Its the first time in the best part of 40 years when I will have a ticket, be able to go, and probably not bother simply because I don't want to."

Shame. They're featuring a squad from their 25 all-time greatest.

Goalkeepers: Jimmy Montgomery; Julio Arca, Dave Watson, Gary Bennett,Barry Venison; Dennis Tueart, Paul Bracewell, Claudio Reyna, Stan Anderson; Kevin Phillips, Brian Clough;

Subs: Thomas Sorensen, Chris Makin, Charlie Hurley, Colin Todd, Kevin Ball, Lee Cattermole, Niall Quinn, Jermain Defoe

After the draw with ManCity last week, we have to win this game to get back to winning ways. In fact, all our remaining games are must-win games if we want to have any chance of winning the league title. We have an excellent record against Sunderland in recent years, winning 10 and drawing 3 of our last 13 matches against them. We need to continue that great record against them to put pressure on Chelsea in the title race.

Hope we will have all our best players back for this match, especially Kane. He didn't score against ManCity but hope he will get back to scoring form in this match. Son has done well to score 3 goals in his last 2 matches. Let's see if he can continue his goal scoring run in this match. Alli has been in excellent goal scoring run as well, getting 8 goals in his last 9 matches for us. Let's hope he will get another goal or two in this match.

We have not many options in midfield as all the regulars must start. We will need Wanyama and Dembele at their best to control the midfield. Wanyama had to help our defence against ManCity last week. Hope we will not need him in defence in this match. Eriksen has been in good form recently, creating chances for others. But it will be great if he can score as well, especially from freekicks.

It was disappointing to concede 2 goals against ManCity due to errors by Lloris. Hope Lloris will be back to his best in this match. We can really help him by not sending those unnecessary back passes to him. Afterall, he has never been comfortable at dealing with back passes. Too bad Vertonghen is out injured. We will have to find the right partner to Alderweireld in defence. Both Wimmer and Dier has been too error-prone in recent matches. Hope Alderweireld will be able to guide and cover for whoever play with him in defence.

Sunderland are desperate for points as they are winless in 7 matches and are bottom of the table. We cannot afford to drop any points in matches like this if we want to stay in title race. Hope we will turn up with the right mentality to get the all important win.

A`n`y t'e'a'm n'e'w`s yet ?

Really wish Lamela is back for this match. We badly missed his hard work and creativity against ManCity last week. Hope he will be back soon. No doubt our former player Defoe will be fired up against us in this match. Will be disappointed if our defence don't stop him and keep the clean sheet. Hope we will be clinical and ruthless against Sunderland to get the much needed 3 points.

Defoe hat trick. But to comply with recent tradition - 1-1, has a draw written all over it.

Potential banana slip. They have replaced the LB with a better defender but less offensive threat. Darron Gibson also rejoins Moyes. Would be a tough match in the middle...

Moyes indicated yesterday that Oviedo and Gibson signed too late in the day to be involved tonight.

  • Sunderland are on a five-match winless run, conceding 14 times (D1, L4).
  • They have only kept two clean sheets in their 22 league matches this season.
