Transfer Rumour Bolleaux

[QUstillE="Bullet, post: 887653, member: 272"]It has barely crossed my mind that we might buy someone. I'm very comfortable with the squad and haven't really got engaged with this window, nor wished for anyone, I am just assuming we don't need anyone as our "roster" to use an Americanism, is full[/QUOTE]
We still do not have an Eriksen replacement and struggle for creativity without him.

Because many supporters have the same amount of patience as those people working at the stock market., especially those who screams for new player after every match where the team haven't performed the way they expect. Those types of supporters wants a transfer window every Sunday...

But if the same mindset was used by the board of any fotballclub, the club will go bankrupt at least once a year.
Who is talking about buying every player every week?
We are talking about cover in 3 areas, for Kane, Eriksen and wide.
After today's game do you still maintain we have enough to maintain a challenge in 3 competitions?
Or are you going to say we should not bother with FA Cup and EL and focus on the Prem?
I personally don't think we are far from a very competitive squad but one or two quality additions in a window which doesn't come about every Sunday might be worth pursuing.

Adam Lallana has reportedly agreed a new £120,000 a week four-year deal with Liverpool.

The England star has been linked with a summer switch to PSG in recent weeks while Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was also reported to be keen on a reunion with the player he managed at Southampton, but news of the new contract, as reported by the Sunday Express, is likely to put these rumours to bed.

I don't think our squad was the problem today - hence why when we used the squad we won

Simply just too many changes full stop

There is not much wrong with our squad, the problem is throwing them all together ( 9 changes) and expecting them to play like the first team.

Most likely garbage, though apparently we're close to signing Davy Klaassen

Understandable that we'd go shopping there though given the last attacker we signed from that league has been an overwhelming success....
Our purchases from that club have worked out well though. They still have a fantastic academy there too.

Just for the record, Harry Hotspur is a clam.

We dont have cover for Erikson. That is very clear and worrisome. The problem with the Wycombe game IMO was the lack of someone with that role. Onomah was not strong enough to do so. I guess Poch is trying to work on him mentally. I really wish we hadnt let Carroll go (despite it being important for his career growth).

Lamela's more creative than Eriksen. In a 3-5-2-1 you can only fit one of them in anyway, and in 4-2-3-1 you don't necessarily want both of them cf a direct option.

I think the two indirect (Lamela and Eriksen) and two direct (Son and Nkoudou) wide forward options supporting Kane and Alli is a really nice blend

Lamela is certainly not more creative than Eriksen. I know you have a hate-hate relationship with Eriksen, but even someone as blinded as you must surely recognise that.

I think the Wycombe game showed that none of Sissoko, GKN or Onomah are good enough, or good enough 'yet'

If we are sticking to this setup then Lamela would be good competition for Eriksen, with Son as competition for Alli and leaves us well stocked imo

Kane Lamela Son would be a very good front three if Alli and Eriksen were both unavailable and it covers both the creativity and goals that Eriksen and Alli provide, I'm not sure we could realistically expect any better.
