Europa League Draw - Gent (BEL)

Their kids for a squid scheme is for league games against premier league opposition

It's also to get people to go to their bricke home of a ground

Ours is now because we know that with Wembley being a logictic pain for people, plus we're playing a lesser side it incentivise fans to go

It's not dissimilar but the reason are different

Hmm, seems like one rule for one rule for one and one for another too me. At the end of the day we're still slashing ticket prices in an attempt to get people to turn up. We have a bigger fanbase than them so it's not quite on the same scale but it's the same principle.

We're playing at a different ground though.... we're not at home so we're slashing ticket prices to get people to travel to an away ground

I for one am not complaining at the prospect of seeing Spurs for a fiver in Europe

Another example of Levy doing the right thing. Knows it won't sell out, so prices appropriately. It will probably turn out to be a sell out and a cracking game. £5 to see one of the best teams in Europe? No brainer, and you get to see Spurs too!

something to change the perspective: In Ghent we know 20k will be sold- out very fast, so today they announced ticket prices between 40€ and 80€. That's only €10 cheaper then the tickets for the last 16 in CL last season...

There is a huge demand on tickets for the game at Wembley, so 4k will also be sold- out very fast.

Good luck in the PL, I hope you get a CL- ticket (and get knocked out of the EL against us) ;-)

It's clearly ( and rightly) aimed at ensuring decent crowds for the EL games. But I think it might go a bit beyond that. Getting the crowds in for as many games as possible this season gets people accustomed to Wembley (assuming we don't get knocked out to Gent) so hopefully it becomes less of an issue next season. It also helps the club iron out any obvious issues/pitfalls. Playing a whole season there will be very different to a few European games. This season is a learning curve for next season.

Good move by the club and its nothing like the Spammers situation. But hey lets not let that get in the way of a moan for some.

:p:D:) It's not a moan mate, just pointing out that it's a bit hypocrtical. I personally wouldn't have got a ticket if they were more expensive and if not for the LP's on offer (5 I believe).

Unjustified red card for our midfielder after 35 min at 1-1. Nevertheless we were still the better team, but a stupid mistake from our central defender and 1-2. Then a very nice kick from outside the penalty area and 1-3. Penalty in min 85 took us to 2-3 but that was it. Frustrating cause we were better and with 11 vs 11 I think there's a good chance we win it. But hey, that's football.

Genk v Gent tomorrow I believe, is this your equivalent of our matches v Arsenal and Chelsea. As we say, could this match be a 'bit tasty' Is this your biggest local derby?

gent is a bye to the next round, great draw and thats all the pleasantries needed. Next.

Will be very annoyed if Pochettino decides not to sign any new players in January and play youngsters against Gent instead. Apart from Alli, I am not fully convinced of any of youngsters, including Winks. It was really annoying to see Onomah playing so many games in Europe. Hope Pochettino shows more respect to our opponents in Europe as we have not been convincing in any our European matches under him.

Haha, my wife so said to one of the hotels as it was near the red light district....wasn't even aware there was one!

Why is your ticket so expensive? We have two for £70!
Corporate allocation. More expensive, but let out on time. They're taking the tinkle though, they've got their tickets for peanuts.

Your complaining about 70EUR for corporate allocation? You get to watch your favourite team in a new city against a team we've never played before. Wow! I had to slash out 110 pound sterling for the home game vs fudging Stoke! North Upper!
