***OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs. CSKA Moscow***

Not sure how to get motivated for this match. After the way we failed to progress to the next stage of the CL, not sure Pochettino and the players will even bother to turn up for this match. Ofcourse, we will need to get atleast a draw if we want to finish in 3rd place and qualifiy to the EL.

Frankly, want us to win, qualify to the EL and then try to win it. But after the way he treated CL lightly, don't think Pochettino will want to play in the EL. Let's hope we will play for our pride and win this match to qualify to the EL.

Can see Pochetttino resting most of our best 11 in this match. Will be very annoyed if he does so and plays all the youngsters instead. I think we should play our best players to let them feel the CL for one more time before making the exit. Besides we need to continue the winning form after beating Swansea.

Performance is not really important as long as we win this match. It will be great if we can get a big win like Swansea. Wish players like Janssen and Alli can get among the goal scorers. At the same time, want us to keep the clean sheet like against the away match against CSKA.

Reall thought we would do well in the CL this season. Too bad this match has less meaningful as how. Just wish we will go out of the CL by winning this match.

Treat it like a last game of the season party atmosphere

This is only the 3rd time we've qualified for it in 60 years. So track record indicates this will be our last CL game until 2036.

Personally think we should try to get though, surely it is better to be in it and decide if we want to take it seriously in Feb - A serious loss of league form or drawing Chelsea away in the FA cup and potentially its season over if we are out of it.

If we are challenging for the title, then sure play the stiffs when it comes to it.

But there has to be a point where we want to win something surely? what are our aims? We throw in the League cup, last year the FA Cup and then the EL, and we didn't even do that correctly as we still played first teamers.

We keep telling ourselves the CL is the place to be, yet we have been utterly feeble in it this season.

The teams left in the EL are mainly close to Britain so travel should not be an issue.

We won our first game at the new Wembley, that wonderful final against Chelsea. Since then we've lost all of the following six games, have scored just two goals in those games and have conceded twelve.

I don't care if I'm being greedy or underestimating the opposition. I demand an enjoyable win whilst resting players for the weekend. Not one or the other, both as an absolute minimum.

I watched Lampard beat Cudicini with a free-kick from practically his own half. I watched one of the most lifeless performances ever against Leverkusen. I've queued up for hours waiting to get into Wembley Park station after a crushing defeat. I've paid my dues. Now it's time for Spurs to pay me back tonight.

I have a feeling he will play a pretty strong XI

Lloris
Trippier Alderweireld Dier Davies (if fit)
Wanyama Winks
Sissoko Alli Eriksen
Kane

Wouldn't be surprised if we fielded something like this.

THIS! First make sure you qualify for the next stage, and when the next game comes up, treat it according to the current situation .

Im not one for i want to win something as you dont get anything for 4th, as thats not where football or the players we want to attract think.
We are not above the Europa League, Sevilla can say that as they are winners for last 3 years, and judging by their performance in the champions league its done them no harm.

Its logical

We are awful at Wembley because we are "not used to it" well we need games to get used to it for next year.
We are currently second favourites to win the Europa League behind Utd.
We probably don't have to go away to Moldova on a Thursday as we are past that stage.
We don't need to worry about the competition until Feb so as said before we dont have to make a decision on who to play until then.
We need a run of results until the chavs visit.
We have lower league opposition in the FA Cup
We have a 10 Day rest from 18th - 28th so can play strongest team for next 4 games

9 Games to win it - no sevilla, no dortmund, nobody who over 2 legs we shouldnt put away if we wanted to.

we had a brilliant away record last year in the league. not sure why wembley would be any different.
but did poch "throw" CL to try to win Europa ?

Poch will play a reasonably strong team solely because he believes in this Wembley nonsense.

Lloris
Trippier Alderweireld Wimmer Rose
Dier Winks
Sissoko Alli Son
Kane

He should just play a complete second string.
Because we are going to face someone good eventually in the Europa and he will end up fielding a team like
Lloris;Trippier,Alderwiereld,Wimmer,Davies;Mason,Carroll;Onomah,Eriksen,Son;Chadli
That was the disgraceful lineup that limped out against Dortmund away.

We are not gonna win the Europa.
We have failed to get even to the quarter finals 6 out of the last 7 seasons we were in it.
Why waste our time in it?

If he gets Mason on the pitch, I'd be pretty impressed
