Alex Pritchard

The thing with this current regime that I have never experienced before is that regardless of how highly we personally rate a player if the management team want to get rid of us fans still show an acceptance and confidence that they are doing the right thing. The trust in judgement of our coaches and talent recruitment teams is at a level Ive never seen before.....
That is because Poch is building a team and a system and most importantly things appear to be working on the pitch. Because of it he has earned that trust so far. If things start to go wrong on the pitch then murmurs of discontent will resurface soon enough. Still gutted about Pritch and Bentaleb, both of whom I believe are more naturally talented than Ryan Mason or Tom Carroll.

I'm with you about Pricthard and in a way I hope it does bite us on the Arse as all I've ever seen from him is class ... But I'm 100% behind Poch and as far as I'm concerned he gets what he wants and has a free reign from me

It's the "system" that I think is key here.
There's a quote (tried a quick google, couldn't find it, so a very heavy dose of paraphrasing coming up) from Alf Ramsey in 1966, where when picking Jackie Charlton to play, Ramsey told him 'you are not the best player, you are not even the best player for that position, but you are the best player in that position for my system".
Maybe that's what is happening with the likes of Pritchard and Bentaleb - they are clearly very talented, but just don't fit the mould of what Poch needs. And being so clearly talented, it is natural they would want - and need - to play somewhere where they can be part of a first eleven rather than having to warm a bench in the hope of an injury or a run in a domestic cup competition giving them a breakthrough.
I feel very sorry that injury interrupted what could have been Pritchard's breakthrough season last year but that, unfortunately, is the nature of football.

Wonder what happened at Palace after he was a guest at their match the other day?

Levy doing a favour for his Paul Barber and Chris Hughton?

I heard he went to watch a mate playing in the Palace match.
