Euros (not quite a) sweepstake

Avatar also changed - not sure how to play my bets, i expect Sweden to finish bottom of their group so will need to be clever to make the most out of my 3 games

Avatared up!!!

Would like to bet on how many times Gylfi will hit the crossbar in the tournament

Glad I'm not the only one who felt like Sigurdsson was always hitting the woodwork! Great player just either terribly unlucky or slightly inaccurate depending on which way you look at it.

A missed opportunity

Tried one like that - but too many pixels or something!!!! Another Iceland logo said something like "its bigger than you think"!!!! Same with other "interesting" Icelandic views. There was a great one of a symbolic long boat set in a magnificent setting - but it wouldn't load. Missed opportunities - Story of my life!!!

I'm getting hyped for this. I'll be picking anytime goalscorers to see if I can guess who's got Cech's number, and if possible, I'll bet on Rosicky getting subbed off injured in every game

For those of us betting online there is a handy tool supplied by Microsoft on windows pcs called the snipping tool.

This is very simple to use and let's you highlight an area on your screen to copy and paste- so you can leave out account details when copying your online betting slips.

Will have a looksee if there is an equivalent on Apple machines.

So on Apple there is a utility called Grab with which you can highlight a selection.

Copy and paste into your post.

Example of a grab from google images of badgers.

Anyway here is my slip for the group games: Winning multiple bet on the three group games, singles, doubles, treble, just over a fiver stake (sorry Milo) - my stake per bet was 72p.
If they fail to win any of the pool games I am out.

OK, so I need to start looking at what I can bet on for Ireland.
My normal betting is very much limited to either a Win or E/W bet on the major horse meets, or a Saturday BTTS or H/D/A football bet. I guess something a bit more is needed here.
Sorry for the ignorance @milo but is it £5 net across the whole tournament - so if I bet £5 in the group stages and win £5 (lol), I still have £5 left to bet additionally in the knock-out rounds after the group stages have finished? Or is it just a £5 initial stake?

You can bet what you want really. I set a nominal limit because I don't want to encourage people to bet beyond their means (or even bet really). It is just a bit of fun, so place some bets that you feel comfortable with and don't feel obliged to do more than that.

Cheers. Just wanted to make sure I got the 'rules'.
