You're most likely right of course. But it's worth pointing out that there's no way to know how a player might have progressed if he'd joined a different club at a certain point. Spurs might have been the perfect fit for him and his career could have taken a completely different path if he'd arrived here a few years ago.

As I say though - I tend to agree with you on this, but we'll never really know for sure.

Maybe, I guess we will never know ( thank GHod ;)).

About time this thread was resurrected. I was beginning to worry at the absence of Damiao rumors.

It should be merged with the Rivaldo thread and the future Ibrahimović thread.

As a reminder that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

I think we will be missing a trick if we don't pursue him. Available. A talent. Plus his Portuguese will be a plus with Poch's Argentinian. ITK.

Yes, of course, because Spanish and Portuguese are the same language, Brazilians always do really well at Spurs, as well as adding to our Dutch contingent.

Are you being ironic? Gilberto, Uvini, Paulhino, Sandro (poor fitness) and Gomes who totally lost it

Eat your heart out Harry Kane.

I particularly like the goal he scores by falling over and accidently diverting the ball into the net.

Well...why not. Still only 28 and about as likely to join us in January as all the other players we're linked to.

He is the saviour, you know.
